Handwriting Success
As a former special educator, we always started handwriting on a blackboard. Love that this is actual slate for more traction while students write. The size is perfect for young students to keep their letter formation under control. Also, the golf sized pencils and small chalk etc are that way for a purpose! Easy for kids to grasp correctly. Love the multi-sensory approach with wet/dry/write including the sponges.

Fun and versatile. Good value.
We are using this along with the Handwriting without Tears app and books. Our OT highly recommends HWT and we have been really happy with the variety of practice methods and sensory experiences involved.After using the app, our daughter is thrilled to use the small slate board, chalk, and sponges. The instructions included with the chalkboard are pretty skimpy, but the app is good.I use reviews for every online purchase I make, so I try to include the most important features (good and bad) when I write reviews.If you find my review helpful, please mark that below.

Helpful set, but chalkboard cracked
Although you can get a lot of these items separately, it’s nice to get it as a pack so it’s just grab and go. The chalkboard is such a great learning tool, however, we didn’t even have it for two months and the board broke without it even falling. It’s cracked all the way across unfortunately and we are about 6 days past our return window.
