Hard Drive Enclosure (UHB-358B)

So far, this device is of no use to me.I have not been able to format the 1TB seagate barracuda SATA drive I installed into this box.Seatools says all is well.I can create partition in Windows XP device manager.But the NTFS formatting always fails.Am I the only person on earth trying to do this?I sure am frustrated, and out of a lot of time.

this was was the perfect solution to a collasped old computer. i was able to get the hard drive out of the old and install it into this hard drive enclosure. i am an old guy getting use to this new technology and it is amazing to me what you can do to save important data that you thought was gone. this thing is easy to use and install and it was almost like magic to see how it worked. pretty neat. well packaged and on time delivery.good product.

I felt the quality was not up to snuff. Returned and did not reorder, but I also recognize that it was not an expensive unit. Either way, the quality was subpar and the wires were pulled out of the cables and I could not even use the device.

I ordered enclosure and it arrived promptly. It was not quite as intuitive to install as I expected but since I'm mechanically challenged, even I figured it out in a few minutes. It works well and runs with good speed. It was good for the price. Recommended.

Didn't like this product at all it was difficult to install and use and the power supply broke the 1st time I plugged it in. WE returned it.

Just received the MASSCOOL UHB-358B and in less than 5 minutes, had my first Hard Drive installed and was on the road to recovering what I needed from an old desktop. This product performs as promised. Installation was a snap in Windows 7 and I didn't need to use the driver disk that comes with the drive. I had to recover files from both a SATA and IDE drive and that is why I purchased this product. Switching between a SATA and IDE is easy since this comes with the connections for both and EVEN includes a small screwdriver to attach the drive to the board and secure the back plate. Very impressed. Next, I'm going to test this on my DirecTV DVR to see if works so I can use my old drive for additional storage.

No power and seller would not refund shipping fees

Wow so worth the price. I had a HD going bad on one of my PC's and it wouldn't boot up. I thought for sure I would loose everything.Then I thought what have I got to loose. I bought several of these enclosures. They are duel drive hook ups so I can use with drives from my old PC's or the newer PC's. I mounted my non booting drive into one of the enclosures and plugged into my new PC and WAALA I could open it. I copied all information from it that I could not access before. I was very lucky to have been able to save my stuff from the drive as it had very important pictures and things I didn't want to lose. I am not going to say everyone could be this lucky and have this happen but I did and am so happy.YES I recommend these Hard drive enclosures that I purchased from Amazon.
