It eventually will flatten out but beware, no holes for the hooks. Otherwise it works for what you pay for.

This mat does come folded up, but it's nothing that a hair dryer (on the hottest setting) can't fix. I read all the reviews and decided to get this particular mat, I am so happy I did. It fits perfectly, really makes my Audi look awesome, on top of collecting all the dirt and debris. I would recommend it. I did see there were a few other negative reviews, but I have to say, the creases do come out with a hot hair dryer and it fits in the hatch perfectly. It really does finish off the Audi, looks like it was meant to be there.

This tray came folded in four ways. It has permanent creases that no matter what we tried will not go away. Additionally, the material of this tray is hard/stiff. Trying to place it in the rear of my Q5 proved to be difficult since the edges and corners didn’t fit unless you force it down. I gave it two starts because it does provide some protection but it doesn’t fit properly. I will not recommend this product.
