The Art of Words: Learn the Craft of Creative Lettering

I love all of Valerie's products! She has a great testimony, and I love that she shares her heart for Jesus in all she does!This book is probably the best "lettering" book I've seen! I love that she includes little pieces of artwork to clip out and use in the back, as well.

I like many products from Illustrated Faith so very familiar with Valerie's style. This book is a nice guide for working on lettering skills, and I particularly liked the sample alphabets.My biggest complaint is with the paper the book is printed on - this is meant to be used to letter in. With markers. Yet it's printed on lightweight paper that lends itself to marker feathering and bleeding. I wish that there were more samples provided and the purchaser was encouraged to work in another notebook.

I have long since admired Valerie's art and heart for God, so I was super excited to see that she wrote her own book of hand-lettering tips! This book has some great, practical, and honest advice about modern calligraphy and the "tools of the trade." All the color illustrations make it super easy and enjoyable to follow. I would purchase it again!

I love the style of lettering that Valerie has in this book. It offers many practice pages, and inspiration ideas. It is a great value and high quality. It would work for beginners to those with experience.
