I have asked for replace order once but the remote wasn't still working. I returned the 1st one for replacement and then the 2nd remote still wasn't OK. The button is not sensitive and there is no access to apply for return after that.I still give 5 start because I am not a mean person --- but I think it is necessary to remind other potential buyers --- this remote control is NOT working at all. Besides, the 1st and 2nd remote control which I recevied are NOT exactly same, 1st one is without brand name, 2nd one is with brand name on it. However, both are NOT working at all.

We purchased this remote to replace the one we lost for our TV. After pulling it out of its packaging and popping some batteries in the thing, it worked perfectly.In some ways the functionality is improved over the original slider remote. It's nice to have the Netflix button right on the top of the remote, and the keyboard is easier to use. The remote is also smaller and lighter than the original.There are a few downsides. Though you don't get the feeling its going to fall apart, the remote is light and plastic-y. Like the original remote, the buttons are quite small. This hasn't been an issue for me or my wife, but someone with larger fingers may find it frustrating. Finally, having the keyboard on the bottom of the remote is a little awkward. So far, I've not pressed any of the buttons on the bottom accidentally, but I could imagine it becoming a problem.Despite any issues the remote has, I'm still compelled to give it 4 stars. It worked perfectly right out of the box. If this was priced at $50, I would find the issues above unacceptable, but this remote is very affordable and I expect it to last the rest of my TVs life.

I bought a Vizio smart tv at an estate auction last weekend for next to nothing and it works perfectly, but didn't come with the original remote control. The codes provided by the cable company allow the cable box remote to power on/off and control the volume, but nothing else. The only way to make use of the smart functionality or adjust the picture quality is with an actual Vizio remote. I ordered this one and it works perfectly (our tv model is the E500i.A0) The remote takes two AAA batteries and the quick buttons for Amazon, Netflix etc all work as long as your TV is connected to the internet.

FYI, this is not a universal remote and it will not control a Vizio sound bar. It is therefore not a replacement for the remote that comes with Vizio XVT series TVs, which is a universal remote. A universal remote will have two power buttons. This remote has one power button. If you want a remote that will control both your Vizio TV and sound bar, you should buy remote model XRT503 (according to the Vizio support people).Nevertheless, this remote works well for controlling the TV. I deducted one star because I think the description of the remote on this website is a little misleading (at least for a tech dummy like me).

I was just a little disappointed at the packaging, the remote control was inside a little plastic bag then put into a large plastic padded envelope. It arrived in perfect condition, but could have easily been smashed or broken. It took me just a few minutes to figure out how to program it to my TV. I am a happy camper.

Great replacement for a remote you can't buy anymore. Years ago, right after we bought our TV one of the kids broke the remote and it was exorcise to replace so we never did. Fast forward to being on maternity leave and wanting to use the app features on the TV so I had to buy a new remote. This worked right out of the box, no setup required. The one thing that has taken some getting used to is the keyboard on the back of the remote, our original one had a slide out keyboard.
