Game Changer.
Originally bought a coffee dripper and at first was struggling to pour water over the coffee with any control or consistency using a conventional electric kettle (UK).I almost baulked at the price of these things, however after reading lots of reviews and recommendations I decided to take the plunge and wow, what a difference it's making to my dripper coffees! The pour is slow and gradual making it much easier to get all your grounds wet and the balance of the kettle makes the accuracy of your pour easier too. The thermometer is also great as it lets you get the perfect temperature which is also vital when making coffee.I've read a few complaints that it doesn't whistle, but for pour over coffee you don't actually want the water boiling, so this wouldn't be a good feature. People also complaining that when they do boil water in it, it comes out the spout. The instructions explicitly say a maximum volume to put in the kettle to stop this happening, so people are clearly over filling it. If you use enough water for 2 coffees (as much as a dripper would hold anyway) this comes nowhere near enough to have water bubbling out the spout. It sounds to me people making these complaints are trying to use it like a conventional kettle which it is not!Anyway, despite the price, this is a great bit of kit for making pour over coffees and I wouldn't go back to not having one. A must for any coffee brewing enthusiasts!

Nice kettle for a good price
Pretty nice, small gooseneck kettle. This thing has a bit of heft to it and it feels nice and balanced when pouring. It is pretty well built and it seems like it should hold up for a while. It does the job for which it is designed. The built-in thermometer is really nice to have as you don't have to find one that will fit through the holes and get steam over it like other kettles. It can get loose as it is attached with a nut on the inside. This is fine as you can just tighten it when it loosens up. This is also nice as you can remove it later if you feel the need to.Follow the instructions and don't fill it to the top, like any other kettle. If you need more water, get a larger kettle. I max it out at the top ridge and it does fine. It does not have graduation marks so just use the ridges as markers and after a few coffees you will figure out how much to add each time. Just keep an eye on it and don't let it over boil; this is not a whistle-type tea kettle. The handle is a hard plastic that feels nice in the hand. There are no annoying ridges from the molding process so it does the job nicely. You do need to worry about burning your hand if you take the top off when it is hot, so just use a towel or something if you need to do that. The handle is nice and the kettle is balanced so you shouldn't feel the need to use another hand to hold the top as you are pouring. It pours nice and smoothly as one would expect with this sort of kettle, no issues there. With kettles of this type, it come out slow so you don't need to worry about water "clugging" out over your coffee like traditional kettles. For clean up, I just pour out the extra water and have the lid on top but open as to let it dry. I leave it on the warm burner to make sure it dries out. It shouldn't rust but there is no reason to leave water in the kettle; just take care of your stuff.Over all, a nice gooseneck kettle for the price. I use it for my pour over brewer so the size is just right and has enough capacity to make a few cups of coffee.

Tiny spot that rusts
It was perfect (almost) until I spotted the spot of rust between the screw and the probe.

You'll Be Happy With This Coffee Kettle!
Iโve bought BW products before and been very pleased. However, when I purchased the copper version of this kettle I was disappointed to find it had a bit of a problem. Not expecting much I called the 800 number. Much to my surprise it was quickly answered by a real human being, a lady called Mary. She was a delight to deal with, and rapidly solved the issue. The kettle is now making delicious coffee. By the way, I especially like this kettle for itโs relatively large handle, its thermometer, and the perfect way it pours.
