High CRI is great and color temperature is excellent, but waterproofing leaves much to be desired
So my main gripe with this is that the pictures don't exactly match the product; there is no silicone over top of the entire surface, only the silicone used as the LED COB itself. I went into this knowing that might be a risk (I forgot to look at other review photos, silly me) but it's still disappointing. Bare copper is exposed at regular intervals along the length of the strip, so if this is a concern for you, aim for something IP68 rated.Anyway, some helpful info:For the entire 2m length, power draw at 5.0V is just shy of 2.0A (10W). Most of my USB power supplies drop voltage a bit at this load and end up supplying 4.8V at 1.6A (despite claiming 2.4A capacity; shoddy power supplies I guess, not a dig at the LED strip). If you're using this as a light strip in a Bambu Lab X1/P1 series printer, be aware the built-in USB outlet only provides 1.5A, and so the strip should be cut to a maximum length of 1.5m.

Exceeded Expectations
This was my first COB light application, and I've had sketchy LED troubles before. This product PERFORMS, and continues to do so! It lights up the space I need extremely brightly, has a simple power solution, and has an excellent reputation for use in lightboxes. Looking forward to more units and more successes!

The Lights Work Fine, But The Strip Does Not Stick to Anything
I give three stars because, although the LED lights themselves work nicely and are a pleasant sight to behold when turned on, there was a problem with the glue on the back. Like most self-stick products, the strip comes with a wax-paper backing material that you are supposed to peel off to expose the sticky surface. However, when I peeled off the wax paper, all of the glue stuck to the wax paper instead of the light strip! So the back of the light strip had no adhesive and would not stick to anything. I solved the problem by using double-stick Scotch tape for mounting, but this should not have been necessary to do.

Too Bright!
It looks like a spaceship landing in the other room. The light travels and it VERY STRONG! YOU might like it for this reason. I do not. But I kept it anyway. Only 10 bucks and I can unplug it lol

Good even light - solderable with proper prep...
Cut the LED strip in the middle of a location with the copper pads.Remove the silicone cover with your fingernail over the copper pad.Use a razor to scrape off the top layer on that copper. It should lighten up.Put a small bit of flux on this copper surface. Then tin it with a hot soldering iron and you should get a good soldered pad with a good adhesion.Took me a few to figure out I had to scrape down the copper a bit to get the remainder of the silicone residue off it to expose a good copper surface.
