Works great! No noise issues, but can be difficult to remove cable from outer jacks
I installed these ok my first diy pedalboard and they work great! I have no noise issues like others have reported. I suspect those that do may have a grounding issue; possibly depending on the material of the board, but I don't really know...As others have noted, it can be difficult to remove cables from the external jacks, but ultimately it's not an issue unless your location is cramped as it may prevent you from getting a good group to pull them out while holding down the tabs.I took the advice from C. Keith Godwin's review and purchased a pair of the gaskets. I'm very glad I did and also highly recommend them.I recently bought two more pair of these for another pedalboard I'm building and will update if they perform differently.

What every guitar player needs who uses pedals!
The quality of these jacks is excellent and they hold up to the rigors of gigging. I have been gigging weekly for the past 4 months with no issues and I like that I no longer need to touch my pedals to plug in and out for each performance. I read that others have had noise issues, which has not been the case for me, but I not only use pro gear, my cables are top quality. The locking feature is a nice touch especially for use on stage. As others have said, these jacks are in tight and can be a little rough to pull out, but if you hold down the locking button all the way before pulling it is much easier to remove. Installation was simple; drill hole, insert Solderless 1/4" Locking Jack, install two screws. The only CON I have is they do not come with gaskets. I used colored Neutrik SCDP Sealing Gasket for D-Series Connectors to easily identify the guitar and amp input/outputs and give me a nice tight seal. I picked up a bag of 30 mixed colors for $10, since I plan on building a custom pedalboard or maybe two. I will defiantly use these again on future projects and I highly recommend them for working musicians.

Tight!
Product works well, maybe too well. Installed them on two pedalboards I was building. The good news is that they do not allow jacks to come out accidentally. The bad news is that they do not allow jacks to come out easily, even when you want them to. I have push the red tab and then pull very hard and yet very carefully to release the plug. I did ruin one old jack with these, but so far the higher quality plugs have survived. Wish the external (outer) plugs released a bit more easily.

Solidly built and quiet!
I had to do a little modification to my homemade pedalboard to get these through the holes but it was easy-peasy. I previously had panel mounts with 1/4 patch cables soldered to them but found them too noisy for my tastes. These are the way to fly! Plus, if I run into any hum problems (things always seem to go wrong at the worst possible time), all I have to do is lift up my board and twist the 1/4" connectors back and forth a little and all is well. +1 for dependability!

They work; but have grounding issues (are noisy)
I bought these to install on my pedal board. I have a gig rig g2 and have high end cables and patch cords. The amps I use are high end and quiet. I installed these to get the 2 outputs on the G2 in the same area of the board in order to run a 2 or 3 amp setup and get the outputs where I wanted them. As soon as I installed these I started noticing a low end hum/buzz in the amps. If you touch the product it quiets but doesn't go away completely. It is almost like single coil hum that goes away as long as you are touching metal on your guitar (strings, bridge, etc). Not sure I would recommend these to folks based on my whole setup got noisier as soon as I installed them....which obviously isn't what I was intending with the purchase. A bummer as I drilled two holes in my pedalboard to install them.

NOISE
I just can’t rate these very highly. They’re very noisy. Unplayable noisy. Blow speakers and make your ears bleed, noisy. You forgot a gate in your metal setup and run 3 pre-amps before the cabinet noisy. I use fairly high quality cables, all “pro” level and that doesn’t make a difference like the obviously paid for reviews state. They get better when you plug in a guitar, but God help you if you forget and turn your system on first.I can use any of my extenders or any combo of my cables and get 0 buzz. Even on long enough cables enough to require a buffer run alongside power. Put this connector in the mix and I get LOUD 60hz hum. Guess I should have just bought the expensive ones. It’s not routing under my board either. If I replace this with an extension jack, no noise.Changing the lift doesn’t help either, and I have wood a wood pedalboard so I have nowhere to ground it to. For now, I’m just plugging straight into my tuner and bypassing this. One star cause they do what they say (and I have to). -4 because they’re basically unusable. Get one of the higher end metal cases ones. Trust me.
