Excellent product
One of the best, most convenient things ever! Our living room rug would always be sliding to somewhere it wasn’t supposed to be, due to our dogs running and playing.A family member recommended these, and I’m so glad she did. They are easy to use, adhered easily and for the past 3 months our rug has stayed put!

Potential to be great
So I was facing the challenge of a rug that had furniture on it, on top of carpet. Not exactly ideal. I knew that I’d need something durable, especially when my cat is basically the energizer bunny on crack. Sadly, these did not stand the test. They gripped onto my carpet like a dream, but after numerous rounds of intense chase with the cat, the anchors did not stay down. I’m sure in more ideal conditions they’d work like a dream, but for my usage, I just decided to rearrange the room to avoid the hassle they caused.

Sticky Scenarios: The Hidden Hazards of Rug Anchors
Update to review:After some experimentation, I've discovered a novel use for these rug hooks of rather average quality. Despite their adhesive proving detrimental to my tapestries and recliner, it proved robust enough to sustain several pounds of weight against a wooden desk, as well as to secure soundproofing paneling. I appreciate the adhesive's surprising strength, prompting me to elevate my initial three-star review to a four-star rating. While these hooks may not excel in their advertised role as "rug hooks", they have proven themselves as versatile Velcro pads suitable for various other applications. Upon seeing these hooks on sale, the reduced price provided additional motivation to purchase more. I intentionally bought another pack to repurpose these decent-sized Velcro pieces for uses beyond their intended role as "rug hooks". If you're seeking sturdy, sizeable Velcro pieces capable of holding a fair weight, I could recommend these hooks. I would still advise against using them for rugs or similar fabric materials, despite their unexpected usefulness in other contexts.Original review:I initially purchased the "Rug Anchors Carpet Hook and Loop Non-Slip Mat Anti-Skid Stickers Rectangle" to keep my tapestries from slipping off my recliner. I was recently unpleasantly surprised when they caused significant damage to both my recliner and the tapestries. The product's premise seemed straightforward: attach one piece of velcro to the recliner and the other to the tapestry. But I quickly found that these adhesive pads can ruin the surfaces they're stuck to. This is due to their powerful adhesive, which ended up causing permanent damage to the fabric of my recliner and the tapestries. The situation deteriorated when I used a heating pad on my recliner. The heat caused the adhesive from the rug anchor to melt into the chair's fabric. Although the heating pad gets quite hot, I did not anticipate the adhesive reacting so severely. This incident made me wish I had opted for a smaller piece of velcro instead. Now, an important warning for potential users: if you're planning to use these rug anchors near a source of heat – be it a heater, a heat vent, or any appliance that generates heat – be cautious. My experience suggests that any real heat source could cause the adhesive to melt and then harden into an immovable residue on your fabric or surface.Despite my attempts to remove the adhesive residue with various cleaning agents, including 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, lemon juice, steam, a hot clothes iron, a rug cleaner and hand sanitizer, nothing has seemed to work. The recliner's fabric finish has been permanently damaged. My next steps may involve nail polish remover or a 50/50 vinegar/water solution, but I fear this may cause further harm. While the product effectively prevents my tapestries from slipping, it has unfortunately also damaged both the tapestry and the chair. It's true that the velcro is incredibly durable, but the strength of the adhesive is a double-edged sword. It may prevent slipping, but it also risks causing irreversible damage to the surfaces it's attached to.In hindsight, I would advise potential buyers to think carefully about the surfaces they intend to use these rug anchors on. The adhesive is hard to remove and can damage the surface it adheres to. If I could go back, I would certainly choose a different solution to keep my tapestries in place. The cost of using these rug anchors has proven to be much higher than I initially thought, leaving me with damaged tapestries and a permanently stained recliner. I do not recommend these to hold things in place after my experience.

Sticks to my hands not to my carpet!
This is the second item I have purchased to hold a runner in place that does not work. It sticks great to my fingers when I try to adjust it but it moves on the carpet.

Carpets Stay in Place!
These things are amazing! They are the best rug anchors I've ever found. Way better than any "non-skid/slip" carpet mat. I have 3 huge dogs (about 375 lbs. worth), and even they can't get my area rugs to move with these rug anchors in place. I also used them on the carpet in my 3rd grade classroom. If my rug can stay in play with 20 active eight year olds stomping all over it every day, you know these anchors have got to be good. Kid and pet tested and approved!

Didn't stick very well...
These were certainly easy & straightforward to use but they didn't stick to my rug, however overstuck to my floor. My rug still goes flying every time I walk in the room & the adhesive pads are perma stuck to my floor. Would not recommend!!

Amazing
After reading the reviews I purchased these for my large area rug that sits on our wood floor.. This rug is like 5'x10' and was constantly being moved daily by our 130 pound German Shepard. But not any more! We put three of these on each corner and viola the carpet stays in place! It's been two weeks and my only regret is I wish I had purchased these earlier, they work perfectly. Highly recommend.
