Keeps pets off.
I was having a problem with cats getting on my bed and one of them occasionally peeing on it. This cover is a perfect fit for a queen size bed. It’s easy to open and refold and pets don’t like the “krinkly” sound it makes when they jump on it. It serves its purpose quite well and is certainly worth the price rather than washing sheets and comforter several times a week.

Works Great For Animals Sensitive to Sound
We have two dogs, one is a Shiba Inu that sheds, ALOT. We wanted to keep her off our bed so we didn’t need to vacuum the bedspread every night before going to bed. We had tried laying an unzipped sleeping bag on the bed every morning but our two dogs would bunch it up and make nests out of it so obviously that wasn’t working. We bought this item twice. The first time it lasted about six months. It definitely kept the Shiba Inu off the bed because she is skittish and hates the sound of it... this now brings into play our lively Boston Terrier who doesn’t always like the Shiba because the Shiba steals her toys and chews them up. Our Boston Terrier has figured out the Shiba doesn’t like it so the Boston Terrier, when she is annoyed with the Shiba, will jump up on the bed to run across it and do “Brodies” just to make the cover make crinkle sounds, this sends the Shiba running out the doggie door, thus leaving behind the toys and the room to herself. Our Boston Terrier is really quite ingenious. After a bit the cover became a bit shredded so I figured if I had to buy one every six months it would be worth it. Well the second one didn’t last nearly as long, it was shredded after a few weeks. On the bright side, I no longer have to put a cover on the bed because the Shiba thinks the bed itself makes the crinkle sounds and won’t go anywhere near it so I don’t have her hair all over my bed anymore.

Doesn’t deter cats
This doesn’t really do anything to deter the cats from the bed. If anything, the younger one seems to really like the crunchy sound it makes and will now seek it out as their laying-place of choice. It doesn’t matter which side gets put facing up either. Same result.

Works great for certain types of dogs
I gave as a gift but I was told it works great. Dog got on bed 1 time and immediately jumped back off. Never again. Now they can go to work and not have a bed covered in dog hair when they get home. Note to all considering if you have a rambunctious dog who runs jumps and chews a lot it probably won’t work for you. They would probably turn it into a fun crinkle toy. I think this product is geared more towards quieter dogs.

Mixed results, but mostly good!
We ordered 2 of these covers for our sectional sofa, as our elderly cat has taken to weeing on the couch on the regular. We tried using pheromones, adding another litter box to the household, changing the brand of the litter, ran kidney tests to make sure she wasn't ill (all good!), & unfortunately nothing has curbed this behavior. We used washable water resistant couch covers & puppy wee pads, but eventually the smell just got to be too much, despite daily washing & sanitizing. These mylar covers have for the most part worked - the cat did wee on them the first night we had them on the couch, but that was it. I suspect she didn't like the "splashback", as this material is 100% water repellent & she also is spooked by the crinkly noises the covers make, so she hasn't been on the couch since. She also has not urinated outside of the litter boxes since, so I think she just marked the sofa as hers & decided it was a great spot to keep weeing. The only reason I say the result is mixed is because we have a younger cat who doesn't really mind walking across or sitting on these covers at all. Granted, she's not the one weeing on the couch, but a fair warning that your mileage may vary in terms of how much your cat is deterred. We just lucked out & the right cat was spooked.

It works!!
What a wonderful product. It solved our problem with our cat. We needed to keep her off our bed and were tired of opening and closing the door each time we wanted to enter the room. This large size fits a king size bed. I take it off at night and put back on the next morning. Our cat looked at it once and decided she wasn't interested in getting up on the bed. We've had it nearly a week and she's not a bit interested in the bed anymore. It's a bit more trouble to add the steps of taking it off and then putting back on, but worth it given her less than desirable activity on the bed!!

It really works!
I've tried barricades. covers and anything else I could think of to try to keep the dog off of the living room sofa. I put this cover on, and let him into the room. He ran straight for the sofa, put a paw on the cover and backed off. He tried looking under the cover and trying to around the end of the sofa, but gave up. I don't know how durable it will be, but if he continues to avoid it, it should last for quite awhile.I plan to order another one for the guest bedroom.

90% success rate, could be bigger.
I have 4 dogs and 3 cats and brand new furniture. This cover works well to keep the dogs off, except for my stubborn, geriatric English Bulldog. The cats couldn’t care less about it, but I wasn’t as worried about keeping them off the couches anyway. The only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the size. I bought a large to cover the recliner, which was perfect, and an extra large for the couch, which was too small. It’s not like the couch is oversized, it’s average dimensions, and this product is not long enough to cover the arms and not wide enough to drape is far enough over the back to hold it in place and cover the front of the couch at the same time. I will probably try to attach some sort of weight to one side so it I won’t have to drape it over the back so far.
