Poor quality. Didn’t last a year.
The wiring is too fragile. After barely a year of use the wiring connection has already gone bad. The slightest bump on the reader and it’s the same as unplugging it. This device is not well made enough to constant use which is the point of a lanyard card holder and reader.

The idea of this card reader is great. It is handy and compact
The idea of this card reader is great. It is handy and compact. However, the connector for the USB-C part is delicate. After only a few months of light-use, it is misshapen and now failing.

Works for DOD
This product works for DOD CAC on Android. The wire doesn't stay seated on the back of the I'd holder when it's not in use well

USB cable on back malfunctioning after two months of use...
This is a great idea but after using it for a couple of months, I am unable to give it high marks for two reasons:1. Minor issue. The lanyard is too short. I have trouble getting it over my head without almost chocking myself or destroying my hair.2. Major issue. The USB cable on the back started malfunctioning after two months of daily use. Now the USB connectivity to the computer is no longer reliable. The computer keeps saying that the device disconnected if I barely touch the cable or move it even so slightly.

It works
I use it for mobile use on both my Microsoft Surface Pro and Samsung phone. Works perfectly.

DOD/Gov computers require extensive setup
I used this for nearly a month. It is a little heavy, but it worked. But when I got a new badge today, the computer wouldn't recognize it.The product support page has instructions for military and government users to uninstall and reinstall a bunch of stuff to make it work. That might work for me, but it shouldn't be that hard, and I'm not about to start mucking around with security certificates (I'm not a security expert, so who knows what loopholes I might be opening - these certificates aren't trusted for a reason - and maybe it would prevent the cheap plastic readers from working so I'd be completely locked out).I have several cheap plastic readers that work just fine with the new badge with no additional setup.Unfortunately, it's too late for me to return it. But, the product is now useless to me.
