Works good on my Chev 2007 2500hd classic 6.6
Being metal it won’t break as easy like the old plastic one did.Especially needed if you delete the EGR system.

Excellent upgrade part !
I used two of these to repair coolant leaks on my 2003 Hummer H2. There are a couple issues which are tricky with this repair (neither is the fault of this part). First, the existing connectors on the heater pipes are mounted too close to the firewall. So I struggled to cram the disconnect tool behind the connector. That was difficult on the outlet side, and impossible on the inlet side, until I used a grinder to make the removal tool about 1/8" thinner. After disconnecting, this part is a direct replacement for the outlet connector, by taking off the hose clamp. The inlet side has a factory installed plastic band instead of a hose clamp. Carefully use diagonal pliers to cut off that band. When you try to remove the old connector, its glass-reinforced-plastic will fracture into tiny pieces. Patiently pick out all of the pieces to prevent them from entering the coolant system. Then you'll find the hose is originally 5/8", but GM flared the end to 3/4". So, cut off 1/2" from the end, to get back to the 5/8" portion. That will fit this connector perfectly. Use a 1" hose clamp to tighten it in place. Then click the connectors back on to the heater block pipes.

I Bought 2 of these to replace the Plastic ones @ the firewall to Heater Core, I had NO Problems yeton my 2005 2500HD Silverado except the Water Pump started leaking, So I decided to change out allFluid Hoses which took me to the Heater Core. Searching around for the replacement Q. D.'s I stumbledon these NEW Style replacements...... Tried them and they worked Perfectly , Amazon said that theyDO NOT FIT my Truck .... They DO WORK! I Highly Recommend these as a replacement part. 5 STARS!!!!

This Is What The OEM Part Should Have Been!
If you have a 99-06 GM truck, or an 07 classic, replace the connections to your heater core with this part. This is what the OEM part should have been. No more leaks, period. Installed on an 05 Silverado. If one of the connections is leaking go ahead and replace both at the same time, you will be glad you did.

Easy upgrade for Duramax LLY
One of the original plastic fittings had a leak so we replaced both of them in under 15 minutes, just need the quick disconnect tool to remove the old ones. Remove the fitting first, then bring the hose closer to you to remove hose clamp, much easier to do it this way. This is one of the easiest upgrades to do.
