Contigo AUTOSPOUT Chug Chill Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle, 20 oz., Scuba Lid, SS/Scuba

I bought a couple new bottles to replace my old ones which no longer kept things cold for as long as they used to. They were a few years old. The new bottles appeared to be the same but when I got them, they had a new spout system. It features a large opening so you could drink more like from a glass (not as large an area) which was fine but what I didn't like, is that you manually have to flip a lid closed to keep it from spilling if you tip it or put it in a backpack, etc. I was used to the spout where you had to press the button in the back to open it, drink, and then when you let go the bottle was closed and leak proof. Because I wasn't used to having to close it each time, I would toss it in my satchel or bike basket and it would spill all over. I also found the lid a little awkward to close but they may get easier with use. It was very frustrating and I don't know if the old system bottle is still available. It didn't really show or explain the difference or I didn't catch it. But the good thing is my husband said after to listening to my complaint and watching me clean up another spill.l.."Why don't you just take the covers from the old bottles and put them on the new bottles." Ta Dah. I did keep the new lids in case I want to use them later but I much prefer the old ones, particularly when traveling on planes or in the car.

Keeps the water ice cold even when out of office and in the sun

Love my stainless steel water bottle. I prefer the autospout feature since I chug my water and do not care to drink from a straw or "suck" from a bottle. I have the regular water bottle in a 32 oz. which I absolutely love and have a total of 4 around the house. I decided to get the stainless steel bottle for when it gets too hot in San Diego. Unfortunately the biggest size in the stainless steel is 20 oz. The other day I put 7 ice cubes in the stainless steel bottle and sealed it shut. Forgot to add water before leaving work and left it in the car. About 24 hours later I remembered and when I opened the bottle there were 2 big cubes in there still and the rest had melted into delicious ice cold water which I promptly chugged. Hope this bottle lasts me through the summer. I plan on buying a couple more so I always have extra cold water on hand. Again, just wish the bottle was bigger so I don't have to refill so often.

Unfortunately had 2 of them fail. The seal is impossible to remove to clean.

I bought a second one because I love it so much. Great for hot and cold. I use it as my water bottle daily.Love that it is leak proof and locks as well. Very durable. I have had my first one for years and it has traveled with me to many places. Still have it and now I have a back up!

I use this for travel. It does NOT leak as long as the lid is screwed on tightly and even has a locking feature so it doesn't pop open in your bag. I actually carry it in my computer bag with no worries (well, I do worry and make sure it is closed/locked appropriately). I have not experienced any leakage or spills as long as I seal it properly. I also put it in the dishwasher regularly and have seen no peeling, scratching or damage, though I suspect if it was painted on the outside you might see some scratching. Of course, as you might expect, the ice lasts at least 24 hours. In fact, I fill it with ice from home (no liquid) and take it through TSA security without issue so that I can add water or soda to it after getting through before my flight. I also love that the mouth is large enough for ice from fridge or hotel ice machine. It's my second one and I hope I don't leave this one in a rental car. Quality item!

I really like this water bottle and replaced a very old with this purchase. I bought two. One of the two leaked water, which I didn't know until the top case of my motorcycle had a half inch of water in it after riding about 600 miles on back roads and highway (all paved, so pretty smooth roads. The other works fine. Just thought to let you know this may be a hit or miss. I would order this again with the hope the the leaky one is a one off.

This water bottle is great at keeping cold beverages cold. I also like the spout lock feature--I throw the bottle in my bag and go. The handle also has a latch so sometimes I hook the bottle to the strap of my tote bag. The only downside of the bottle is that the outside can get hot. I had it with me on a sightseeing cruise where I sat on the upper deck of the ship. Halfway through the cruise the outside of the bottle was extremely hot as it was a hot/sunny day; the drink inside remained cold but it does have me thinking about finding a sleeve for the bottle. I have this bottle and a HyrdoFlask bottle which is also insulated. I like that with the Contigo bottle I can just hit a button and start drinking, it's very convenient when driving. I also like that this version of the Contigo lid does not have straws. The HyrdoFlask advantage is that the outside of the bottle is not impacted by outside weather conditions.

I have one of these and bought one for a friend as a gift. It broke within a couple of months (mine is well over a year old and still in tact). I wrote to the vendor, weeks ago and still have had no reply. So it is a great product, but I am now reluctant to replace it - they won't replace it now or take a return, as the customer service is so poor

Wow what a great water bottle, fits in car and easy to open and drink out of one handed. Keeps water really cool, so I'm happy.

Excellent well worth it

This Water bottle was the first time that contiguous disappointed me. I usually use Yeti tumblers or Swell water bottles as having cold water is very important to me. And both brands serve me well.I liked the flip lid for this one as it would be much easier to use.First. It did not keep water very cold. I filled the bottle with ice cubes and water around 8am and by noon water was not cold anymore. All the ice was gone.Second. About three weeks in to using this bottle something funky happened with the lid where I wasn’t able to open or close it anymore. And all it’s contents would just spill out.Do not recommend this. Was a waste of money for me.
