Contigo SnapSeal Byron Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug, 16 oz, Vivacious

This is my favorite travel mug ever. I've had many and they've all faltered in their design in some way, but this one hits every point right on the head. It keeps my coffee hot for an hour (or more) and when the lid is sealed this thing really is leak-proof. The drinking spout is comfortable and allows just the right amount of liquid through at a time. The mug fits in the cup holder in my van. It fits under the spout of my Keurig (hallelujah!). And it has a hidden opening to equalize pressure so you get a steady flow of liquid when you take a sip. I can't tell you how many other travel mugs I've had that completely FAIL in this area (because their designers failed physics, apparently) - you take a sip and get nothing, nothing, nothing, then you're hit with a sudden coffee tsunami when the pressure finally lets up inside the mug. Ugh! Not with this mug. Not ever. Because its designers were good little boys and girls who paid attention in physics class. :DMy husband and I have three of these mugs - two 16 oz. and one 20 oz. We prefer the 16 oz. size because it fits under the Keurig (when you remove the tray) so we can brew straight into our mugs before heading out the door. The red is a bright ruby red that I love and it's held up to washing well. My husband has the steel gray one and it hasn't fared as well - the paint is definitely washing off (and we hand-wash only). But that's no big deal - it still keeps our coffee hot. :)

I waited a few months after getting this, and I can now say with confidence that this is one of the best travel mugs I’ve owned. As long as you’ve closed it properly, NOTHING leaks out of it, and my coffee really does stay hot for hours. I’m a slow coffee drinker, and my drink stays hot all morning while I sip away at it. It’s incredibly easy to clean, and pretty durable- though I’ve never dropped it from a far height, so I can’t speak to that. If you need a good, sturdy travel mug with no bells and whistles, this is the mug for you.**UPDATE** I knocked over my mug today with the drinking part open, and only the tiniest bit of coffee actually spilled out! This thing is honestly klutz-proof, and I got my brother one for Christmas so he can see how awesome it is.

This is my second Contigo mug. Purchased my first 20 oz one 3 years ago and it is still perfect. I wanted a smaller one and bought this 16 oz mug.PROS:Great mug for travel -- It will not accept a straw- slow fill of liquid into your mouth- Excellent snap closure ensures no leaks- keeps ice and drinks very cold, ice cubes are still frozen overnight. Smaller, but still ice.- great color, hasn’t chipped or faded- nice feel to rubber grip around middle, secure feel, no slipCONS:A handle, I miss this feature but couldn’t find one with the same handle as my 20 oz mug which feels perfect and stable in my hand.

I bought this to replace one that was left at a friend's house. I like this size specifically because it will fit under any standard Keurig with the bottom tray removed. I had the larger version of this one first which of course seemed better but it was a pain to get it filled. It keeps hot liquids hot for hours and its easy to clean. The drink spout is rather stiff to open. But I like that if I'm tossing it in a bag I feel secure that its not going to spill. In fact I've never had a single leak from this mug. I use a travel mug mostly because I'm going to want something hot but not for a few hours so it is generally sitting in cold temperatures for a while like ice fishing. If you are getting it just to drink while driving in the car, you might consider one that opens a little easier but I've never had a problem with this one.

This is my 4th Contigo cup in 6 years. I've replaced them not because of any defect - I am just embarrassed at how dented and scratched up they were from carrying them around 7 days a week all day. Love Contigo! Drinks stay hot for about four hours - cold even longer if you've added ice. I've turned around and driven 30 mins to get my forgotten cup. It's attached to me like my phone. That said, here's the scoop on the two different kinds. This one has just the pop-up lid. It is sooo much easier to clean than the other one. The other one (and my first two) will build up goop under all those parts that you will never see unless you examine closely. Even regular dishwashings doesn't get it. It's disgusting and the reason I switched to this one. But It seals better than this one. Absolutely no leakage. This one will leak if laid on its side in your purse. 🙁 Not enough of a reason to keep me from buy it though!

I LOVE Contigo. So, here's the story:I've had the silver mug for 4-1/2 years. It is an awesome mug which has never failed me. And up until about a year ago it was super shiny. Then I did the unthinkable and put it in the dishwasher... MISTAKE! the second pic shows what happened to my shiny silver finish. It looked rough but still functioned great. Then about 8 months ago the lid started clicking when I shut it and it just didn't "feel" right. I thought, "well, it's been almost 4 years, maybe I should get a replacement."So 4 months ago I ordered the new one. I immediately had problems with the lid; it just wouldn't go on easy or seal tight. I sent it back right away and requested a replacement. I'd read reviews about bad lids and thought maybe this whole new series might be bad... but with so many good reviews I had to give it another try. My replacement mug came and it works perfect--as expected.Side note: My old mug got jealous! As soon as the replacement mug showed up, the lid on the old one started working perfectly again as well. I now use them both.I'm so completely satisfied with these mugs!

Por fin un termo muy eficaz! Hago el té por la mañana sobre las 9:00 y a las 16:00 sigue caliente. Tengo que dejar en infusión y poner agua fría sino me quemo. Además la tapa es muy practica y fácil de limpiar. A ver si aguanta con el tiempo, pero para la relación calidad/precio es un 100%.

Keeps your drink warm for a very very long time. Your drink will still be warm after 5/6 hours. When I make tea or coffee I leave the lid of for at least 10 minutes.

Acheté pour une étudiante donc étanchéité indispensable : objectif atteint . Parfait également pour le côté "thermos" puisque les boissons sont toujours chaudes et non tièdes l'après midi. De plus la couleur rose est vraiment jolie. Je recommande ce produit.

The media could not be loaded.  Gente si espera que un termo de este precio mantenga el agua a 50° por 12 hr y no pierda ni un poco la temperatura, simplemente es mejor que compres otra cosa y sepas que tus estándares son imposibles.Si quieres un termo, funcional, fácil de limpiar, duradero, de marca reconocida y puedas usar para mantener la temperatura de lo que tomas por unas horas, este es el termo perfecto. Su uso en oficinas es perfecto y para dar un paseo por el parque, pero no está pensando para estar fuera de un ambiente urbano, no lo compres si quieres mantern un líquido a su temperatura sin perder ni un solo grado por 12 hr, no lo compres si lo vas a usar para un uso rudo, no lo compres si quieres que se limpie solo de la manera correcta.Compralo si lo necesitas para mantener algo frío o caliente por un par de horas, en tu auto, oficina, casa o una salida al parque. Está limitado por no poder contener más de 500ml y una pintura que es fácil rallar. Si eres inteligente y piensas bien para que lo vas a usar es un producto perfecto.
