Excellent for composting.
Worked excellent in my compost pile. The pile after adding this dissolved in water about half a cup for a 4-foot by 4-foot by 4-foot compost got it up easily to 160 degrees which is The Sweet Spot for killing bacteria and seeds. Stayed up there for about 4 days then went down to 140 degrees. It's been about 2 weeks and it's still at 140 degrees so no need to turn it yet.

Best form of nitrogen for soil ammendment
Not much to say here about urea fertilizer, which is the best form of N, in terms of cost. I use a lot of it for composting chipped up branches and other items that have a low N content that would otherwise being mineralized quickly by soil microorganisms and immobilize N for plant growth. Very rapid delivery.
