Old School Does It Again
These Mk49 goggles are just what I needed. They fit well into my open face helmet and the combination feels a lot better than the expensive full face helmet. The optical distortion is zero, crystal clear, unlike the full face helmet visor, with the advantage of a one finger wipe over, to clear rain. Old school and a lot better for me. I found that I did not like the 'closed in' feeling of the full face and that I could not hear my engine so well. With the open face helmet and these goggles, not a problem anymore. The MK49 are comfortable, but may take a little getting used to, if you have never worn this sort of thing before. You do have very good vis, good protection for the eyes and comfortable, so after a few minutes riding, you forget that you are wearing them. I get hardly any fogging with them, and any disappears instantly. when the wheels get rolling. Not heavy either, so you do not feel like a medieval knight, jousting. I will be keeping these and selling the full face with visor. Forgot to mention that my helmet has a small black peak to help keep the sun out of the eyes. They look well made (and British let us not forget) and not ready to fall apart. I bought the plastic lens version, but understand glass lenses can also be supplied. However, these are very nice indeed, so if you are thinking of trying them, just go for it. They may be Old School, but heck, they work and work well. Nothing wrong with 'Old School' kit, especially if it does a better job than the new 'advanced' stuff. If you don't like them for whatever reason, just return them to Halcyon for a refund or exchange for another model.Halcyon sent them quickly and packaged well. Next step, to get a couple of bar end mirrors from these people.Just in case you may be wondering, my bike is a Royal Enfield 500cc single Classic. Old School again, but a wicked machine to ride. Goes well with those goggles. Safe riding chaps.

Really nice goggles !
Great authentic looking goggles...However disappointed because nowhere on the box they arrive in or on the goggles does it say MK49 ...Nowhere on the the box or goggles does it say genuine real leather...And thirdly the British Standard kitemark or number is not on the goggles I received, but is shown in the advert/photograph...

Great goggles and still made in Britain
Excellent traditional style of goggle. Very well made and extremely comfortable, with soft leather padding around the eyes. Designed primarily for use with a helmet (the strap has some nifty clips which do a good job of keeping the goggles against your face despite a helmet) and seem to fit well with my Davida Jet. Reasonably easy to adjust, but probably not best suited to small heads. I got used to the split-lens design fairly quickly. Vents do an OK job at reducing misting. The only slightly annoying thing is you are best off removing the lenses to clean them properly inside. If you like this type of goggle then they are definitely worth the money.

Good goggles!
Quality product, glad I choose the leather Goggles. It would have been nice if a protective case or cloth bag was included but apart from that I'm very satisfied.

Good quality piece of kit
Good quality piece of kit. Comfortable to wear and nice to handle. Seems to be made by people who know what what they're doing. If any one part breaks then that part can be replaced and not the whole pair of goggles. Also she likes them which is a result!
