Beautiful, fascinating, education and deeply affecting.
Bought this for a book club book, and completely fell in love with both the autobiographical parts and the vivid legends. Should be required reading for any American studies.

Having read this for a college class, this was one of the first books we read. This was how we were introduced to a view on Native Americans by someone not accepted truly by whites or others in her tribe. Her range of stories about her childhood mixed with tales is a good jumping off point for discussion

Great Resource
The number of native American stories is incredible. Some of the tricksters are good guys and some are bad. You need to watch out for them, respect them but you also have to live with them. This is a very nice collection.

Read this book.
I already have it, needed it but couldn't find it. Terrific turn of century indigenous writer, scholar, thinker, editor, and numerous other positions in her life.

Needed for class
I got my book right on time. Although I needed it for class it was still an interesting read. Zitkala Sa has a great anthology of Native American stories to indulge in.

A brilliant book.

Misleading
The real title for this book should be Zitkala-Sa's autobiography and some sioux stories. Out of 250 pages only 60 are SIOUX indian stories, the rest are Zitkala's accounts of her life time. The book was a real shame. It is found wanting.
