Finally. A good vacuum. Now include a brush, Rigid!
Best vac you can buy currently. I have a machine shop, so I know about such things. After buying several motors and doing a lot of repair on my "Shopvac" brands, I was done with them. I had an older smaller Rigid I've used for over 20 years, and it's still running. So I went for it. Wonderful, love the design, layout, the bag on the handle is a little cheap and floppy, but who cares? The only thing missing was a brush, they don't include them, and that's just wrong. Do a little bit Better, rigid, you can make it. Don't sell it as an expensive accessory; that's a cheap trick.

Best Shopvac Ive ever owned
This thing does it all.....more than enough suction power, long power cord, even oversized wheels to roll over power cords. The attachments are nice, but I use myine for dust collection and to suck up water. Word from the wise, the stainless will get impregnated with carbon if there are steel shavings in there very long. This will cause the stainless to rust. But only surface spotty rust (wherever the carbon steel was able to penetrate the stainless). When the one I have currently wears out I plan on purchasing another and would not hesitate to recommend strongly to anyone. My father in law has had his for over a decade and its still going very strong, so I likely wont need a new one any time soon. Great job Ridgid!

Great vacuum!
Omg... This is the beast of shop vacs, I love it in all its shininess!! The stainless bucket is the best, so easy to thoroughly clean, unlike plastic buckets.Ive used it as a leaf blower on my deck, I've used it to vacuum sawdust off my sidewalk...it's awesome. Good power level, kinda noisy, but not noisier than any other from what I can tell. The only downside, I feel, is the hose. It feels a little cheap to me. If I pull on it while blowing/vacuuming, it sometimes falls into pieces. The attachments don't "lock" on, and I'm kind of weak, so they don't maybe get pushed on hard enough.I might go ahead and purchase the higher quality hose that is available just to avoid this problem in the future.

I hope the Replacement Lives Up to the Positive Reviews
I spent weeks researching various shop vacs and thought this Rigid model was among the best options...especially since it is one of few American-made units. We put the base and wheels on and plugged it in. I had a bunch of leaves on our screened in porch waiting for the 6.5hp suction to take them away. Two minutes into the first use, the hose was plugged with leaves! The vacuum couldn't even pull a few leaves into the drum. I had to unplug the hose multiple times...and after 30 minutes, I finally gave up.The suction seemed strong before I put the hose on the vac...and once I put the dry vac nozle on the hose, I barely had any suction at all. Our 30-year old mighty mini car vac does a better job...and it weighs about 2lbs!I requested a replacement from Amazon. Hopefully, I'll have the same positive experience that 83% of others had...if so, I will change my review. If not, I'll update this and let other buyers know...this unit isn't worth $50.00, yet alone $240.00!

Great hose and suction.
The hose is awesome and snaps right in and out. Great suction and the blower blasts sawdust right out the door. It's beautiful and easy to clean. The assembly was a bit of a bugger, but after I realized I had the screws in the wrong side of the rollers (Yes, it still works that way) all went well. It is so easy to move around compared to the regular shop vacs and the bag on top is awesomely handy. Great vac and worth the little extra.

Great Shop Vacuum
Great vacuum! The long cord is fantastic as I don’t need an extension cord like I did with my old shop vac. I recommend getting the muffler for the exhaust as it really helps knock down the noise. Good pick up and the wheels make this easy to move around. I like the pouch to hold accessories.

Value engineered; Good comprimise between price and performance.
A lightweight unit with mostly injection molded plastic components designed for ease of manufacture, it performs well for it's size and should last for a few hundred hours of use. The "6.5 peak HP" rating is misleading and not useful to the potential buyer. We need to get vacuum manufactures to start specifying volumetric or mass flow rates under some standard operating conditions. They would be more useful specs for comparison.

Powerful and quiet
Bought this as an impulse buy and had a bit of buyers remorse. Contacted the seller to request a cancellation but shipment was too far along but they offered to accept a return once I received it. I didn't expect it to have shipped that soon so I decided to just keep it. This thing is amazing and for how powerful it is, it's exceptionally quiet. A very welcome addition to my garage.
