I walked my dog this morning for 2 miles. It had snowed 2 " over night and there was ice underneath. I had some cleats on, but they got loaded with snow and I still slipped on ice. Later this morning, I got my steel spikes Crampons. I had to try them out. I shoveled snow and used my snowblower. The ice patches were no problem. And I walked my dog around the block with no problem on the ice. I love these and will continue to use them.

Seem well made and heavy duty for the low price I paid. Bought these to use as needed while hiking in Alaska this month. Nice sturdy storage bag with drawstring pouch was a good perk. I like the blue to coordinate with my other gear.Update May 27th 2018: At first I could not get them on my boots and thought I may return them but my son and his friend got them on for me. I used these to hike to the 4 mile round trip to Matanuska Glacier and Exit Glacier from the parking area. Thank goodness I had them. They kept this 3x plus size 60 yr old Grandma from falling and busting her ass. I walked up and down the glacier route on hard packed dirt, firm wet dirt, sloppy mud, wet particle board and metal grating, ice, slush, and snow. I was sure footed on the uneven and sometimes steep trail and never fell once. Great price.

I was buying a new pair of cleats to have an extra for visitors and in our extra car. We go hiking multiple times a week in ice and snow. The cleats are great but much bigger than described! I ordered a large I wear a size 10 shoe, they were so big they were falling off my boots while hiking which was very dangerous. They fit my husband size 13 boot perfectly. If you are ordering I would go down a size!

Seemed to do what it's supposed to do at a great price, but the fit is too small (lady shoe size 7.5, and I bought the suggested size). I used them for my recent trip to Mt. St. Helens in Spring, when it was still all covered in snow. The snow just began to melt and was very loose. I had them on for about 8 hours, and the elastic bands were very tight and was hurting me after just about 2 hours.

When I first got them, I thought they were amazing and I could hike through snow and ice like it was nothing. Towards the end of the first hike that I used them on, a friend told me I was dragging something from my traction cleats. Turns out the chains tore out from the plastic/rubber eyelet. I tried superglue, but halfway through the next hike, the second time I used them, it torn through again. Time to find a better product.

These are great for all the ice we suffered through this winter. Every house should have a pair.

Overall, good value for the price! I got these for hiking in the Rockies at the beginning of June. Only ended up needing them for one trail. Very easy to slip over my hiking boots and certainly helped with traction! One of the tracks did come apart on the way back down the trail but I was able to repair it when I returned home. Look forward to trying them again!
