Good for temporary relief.
first of all if you are buying one of these, I'm sorry. Hernias suck! The good news is this will help on those days that your in pain or uncomfortable. its worth the purchase to get some relief. I bought it to help until surgery is done.

Amazing support, feel much better, scratches a bit
I love this belt! I had abdominal surgeries in 2015 and they left me with a smallish incisional hernia above my navel. Partly due to the hernia and due to post-op adhesions, my bowel would get partially obstructed. So after eating high-fiber foods, uncooked vegetables, etc. I had bouts of severe pain every month or so while I waited for the food to pass through the narrow obstruction. I had been recommended a pretty extensive surgery for the hernia, but there were no guarantees that it would fix the obstructions. I also was afraid of the complications that are inevitable (my problems were complications of my previous surgeries). This belt provided the best support to my hernia and pushes it in so it doesn't show. I wear it during the work day only. But, even after removing it, the hernia is smaller. The obstruction also seems to have improved, since I suspect my bowel is no longer protruded into the hernial sac where it gets blocked. The belt almost doesn't show under my clothes, unlike another belt I had previously. I only removed one star from the review because the velcro scratches my skin at the back sometimes (I don't wear an undershirt under it). Other than that, this is a great buy for those who have abdominal hernias and are waiting for surgery or decide to manage them conservatively.

It Actually Works
I have a herniated naval about half the size of a golf ball. At 59 years old I have a gut but not embarrassingly huge. I wear this belt all day and have experienced an immediate sense of support and it is well concealed under my T-shirt. I am 6'3" and the belt width could be about 1 1/2" less for perfect comfort as it gathers a touch at the back top. But the plusses outway the minuses. I will buy again. I think the only downside is the naval pad is getting dirty and it would be nice to replace it rather than the whole belt. I do not know if this is possible as of this review.INSTRUCTIONS: The velcro will irritate the skin when not matched properly. I turn it inside out and carefully match up the strips so there will be no edges annoying me. Then I turn it back around and slip it on the way a woman would put on a one piece girdle. I slip it on before the underwear or just forget the underwear.

OTC XL Belt.
OTC Hernia Belt XL size. I like this belt as it is a low cost solution for easing the pain of a hernia. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten the next size larger because I really have to tug and pull to get it to overlap. I use it without the hernia pad and it works well.UPDATE: I ordered the 2xl size belt so I wouldn't have to pull as hard to fasten the hook and loop pads and so I could rinse on off and let dry.For the price compared to what other solutions cost here and in stores I consider them a very good buy.The only caveat is they do require repositioning if you are active they tend to slide down a bit. My activities at work include walking stooping and climbing ladders to retrieve parts.

Like it but...
I really like this belt but I couldn't give it a five because I bought 3 of them and 2 of them have the disc glue and patch coming off straight out of the box. The first one I bought was too big as I didn't see a size chart for accuracy in my purchase. The size chart is on the box which I thought I took a picture of to post but I guess I didn't.... Sorry.Over all the belt really helps my abdominal hernia a lot! I have seen improvement in my stomach and wear it all day long with no discomfort.

WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT WORKS WELL
THIS IS WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT. IT'S NOT JUST A SUPPORT IT COMES WITH A CUP THAT IS CONVEXED IN THE MIDDLE SO IT WILL PUSH THE HERNIA IN AND KEEP IT IN. I NEEDED IT BECAUSE I LIFT A TODDLER THAT HIS WEIGHT IS IN THE MIDD TO LOW 30'S AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE BELT ON. IT'S NOT THE MOST COMFORTABLE THING AND IF YOU ARE SITTING YOU WILL WANT TO TAKE IT OFF. BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT WORKS FOR ME. I THINK MY HERNIA TEAR IS ABOUT 3" OR SO

The pressure pad has Velcro, it can be moved or removed
First belt I tried. It is very good. I wear it sometimes, now without the pad, just for basic abdominal support. Feels good. Tip: you can position the overlap on a pressure point, without the pad, for a touch more inward pressure. I am a 36" waist and the Large size is good for me. An XL would probably work, but then wrapped around further. You can also put it on and roll the whole thing over by half, so you can wear it low, like a waistband, because the inside Velcro strips are two and horizontal.

Really worked for him
This "herdle" (as my spouse calls it, for hernia-girdle) has made a huge difference in his life. His activity level has come all the way back up to pre-hernia levels without pain and worry. It's easy to wear, easy to wash (soak in gentle soap), and has lasted more than a year. He's even back to doing (more careful) Pilates and sit-ups, plus home projects that require (more careful) lifting. Good product! Ordering another one so he can keep it at work.

A no contest absolute winner in the hernia belt contest
This is the fifth brand of support belt I have purchased. None of the others were perfect. They were either uncomfortable, too hot to wear for long periods of time, had uncomfortable Velcro that cut into your skin or. were almost impossible to put on without some bulge showing through your shirt. Finally, I have found perfection. The design of this belt is genius. It has two thin splines on either side worn under the arms which keep the belt from rolling up but do not interfere with comfort or movement. The first time I put this belt on I had one spine on the back and it bothered me when I sat down. I soon realized it was meant to be worn with the spines on either side and the Velcro at the front. The Velcro on this belt is like none other I have ever seen. It is almost smooth and does not cause discomfort if it ever touches your skin. I find if I wear it over a tee shirt I don't even realize I have got it on, it is that comfortable. I can even sleep with it on. It supports my hernia perfectly. I don't find I need to use the removable pad as the belt without it works perfectly. My abdomen is 42 inches and the xlg size fit me perfectly. I like this belt so much I have purchased a spare in case it ever wears out. I can not say enough good things about this belt. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Umbilical Hernia relief
I bought this to wear when I go out, I have an umbilical hernia and the lump near my bellybutton stuck out and I hated how it looked as well after walking for a while it would hurt .Wearing this keeps everything where it belongs and reduces the pain. I feel more comfortable and confident when I leave the house this is a great support

faja
La faja esta buena y cumple su propósito al principio, el problema es el velcro que no dura mucho y por consiguiente la faja ya no sirve. me duró solo 1 mes en buen estado después ya no pegaba el velcro.

Good
The product is good. It is lightweight and hence is comfortable for wearing. However, it needs frequent adjustments to prevent it from slipping over the abdomen
