Fun anthology movie
My son and I watched this together and we really enjoyed spotting actors and directors as characters. There was a slight cheese factor, but overall we found it funny and enjoyable.

Throwback to early 80's horror films
As others have mentioned, the movie is very dated. Meaning it has many of the things that 70's & 80's horror movies consisted of. Since this apparently came out in 1993, it seems out of date even for that time. It's not an overly scary film and has very little real scares but what saves it is decent acting and not too much camp. It's more of an end of night before you go to sleep (or help you go to sleep) movie. A decent watch for fans of the old Tales from the Crypt series or Creep show films. Don't expect any surprise endings or stimulating psychological thrills, just enjoy it for what it is...

If you liked "Creepshow" (like me) you'll like this
Not to be taken too seriously, this is tongue-in-cheek horror like Tales From the Crypt and other light hearted tales of terror. No spoilers, but the last one has an interesting tie in with biblical scripture. I should have seen that coming. I wish they would make more anthologies like these.

Shout! Factory Collectors Edition of BODY BAGS Blu-ray/DVD combo
This is a product review for Shout! Factory’s Blu-ray/DVD combo of John Carpenters: “BODY BAGS” Three short stories in the horror genre: the first about a serial killer, the second about a hair transplant gone wrong, and the third about a baseball player. Shout! Factory puts out a pretty good collectors edition they’ve hit it out of the ball park again with this one...!! I recommend it to anybody that’s a John Carpenter fan or horror fan in general. Has a lotta cameos by other horror writers. (Roger Corman, Wes Craven ext.) It comes with two DIsc Blu-ray/ DVD 📀 combo Good HD Video/Audio transfer. Has about 20 minute featurette“UNZIPPING BODY BAGS” Can’t go wrong with this one for $25 bucks 💴 thank yousincerely JTriplett

Hidden Horror Gem
Body Bags is extremely well-produced for a TV movie. The short stories trend towards dark humor and campiness, but don't shy away from some genuinely disturbing moments. My favorite was the second film, Hair, which made me laugh out loud maaaany times. It's dated, of course, but if you enjoy 80s horror, this will be a real treat!

Love it but terrible sound
I get nostalgic watching this film, reminds me of early 90s TV. If you're a Carpenter fan you'll dig it. No it's not the scariest movie in the world, but the whole thing is a goof. That said, the audio quality is absolute GARBAGE. This is a known issue on a lot of releases, even the Shout Factory Blu Ray. Not sure what the story is with the sound, but I'd love to get to the bottom of it.

A bag of goodies!
A horror anthology directed by John Carpenter/Tobe Hooper.( Halloween/ Texas Chainsaw Massacre) Many horror standbys such as David Naughton(American Werewolf in London)Debbie Harry(from Blondie- Videodrome) Mark Hamill(Star Wars) etc are featured in this movie. I have always been a huge fan of these horror anthologies but this one really has "that something extra".

Great Print of an OK movie
Shout Factory is rapidly becoming my favourite label. This is another excellent addition to the collection and is presented in a 16:9 version of the film. The movie features some great performances including folically challenged Stacey Keach and eye-ball challenged (!!) Mark Hamill. The print is, for what was essentially a cable movie, absolutely stunning and the memories of a sludge coloured VHS that sat on my shelf for many years was soon dispelled. Its an entertaining if not prime example of Carpenter the master of the cult movie. The extras include a making of and commentary.BEWARE my multi region Oppo 105 reveals this to be region locked to A so if you are in the UK make sure your blu-ray player is capable of playing locked material.
