So superb, thin, and well made. The full NASB references and footnotes in the center column, a paragraph-style format for smooth reading, a compact and thin size, and yet the 9 point type is quite readable. Not to mention the smythe sewn binding to last decades. I didn't see the leather or inner liner problems that some older reviews found. I purchased the burgundy "Genuine Leather” with matte finish rather than a glossy look. Just Compare it to a similar Bible from Cambridge or Allan - they go for $120 to $200 - but the type face is too small in those editions. What a deal for a great Bible.

New American Standard is actually the finest Bible translation version for the English language and in accuracy. Many people stick with King James or NKJV because it is also accurate, but American Standard is the most complete and understandable for English speakers. This Bible is genuine leather and a mid size thin reference Bible (not a study Bible).

My husband really enjoys reading this bible because it's easier for him to understand. I think he struggled a little with the King James old time speak and this way he can interpret the passages more.

Good deal except for the water stain on the leather that was not mentioned in the description

This is the 3rd time that I have purchased the exact same Bible. I glued my second copy adequately so that I have not opened the 3rd. It has everything I want in a printed version, especially faithfulness to the original Greek and Hebrew texts and reasonable size.

Since this was bought for use in youth Sunday School, it is usable. The print is to small for me to read without getting a headache. I'm happy with it for the purpose and cost.

First, I'll give the compliments:This Bible is a lovely size which calls out to be picked up and read anywhere. The leather is robust and promises to protect the Bible and last for years. The colour is a dark claret, which particularly suits the gold text along the spine (although my personal preference would be to remove the gold lines). The flexible coated paper which lines the inside of the cover really is a beautiful colour. And the concordance surprisingly holds its own pretty well over most other Bibles of this size and type.But, sadly, now to the thing which lets it down:Although the NASB translation is a great addition to anyone's Bible collection. (I had heard tales that it was 'clunky' to read, but when I read this, never found that to be true. Indeed, this 1995 updated edition is a compelling English language version of the inspired Word of God). However, the paper used in this Bible is just too transparent. Not only is the ghosting from the other pages distracting, the type used is not a very heavy font. The letters are quite thin and spindly. Also the word spacing doesn't seem quite natural. Coupled with the pale cream (rather than a bright white paper) - this makes for a difficult, uncomfortable and eye-straining reading experience.This was my first experience of a Bible published by the Lockman Foundation. Sadly I've not been won over.

Very good condition

The cover is much stiffer than my leather covered Holman NKJV and Nelson KJV Bibles of the same dimensions and price range. With more use the cover may soften up and become more flexible. The paper is white with clear but very fine text.

This Bible is best to gift it to any1 who likes nasb, defenetly who are new to Bible, has the Ten commandments page, and has specific verses, for various times of problem at the last page, with maps and a decent concordance, I think this is the best buy, Close your eyes and go for it, perfect bible for starters, who do not want a study bible.
