Exciting, whimsical and a must-read sequel
Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book, it was a real delight to find the second in this trilogy as imaginative, exciting and compelling as the first. Sagar’s writing makes your feel thoroughly immersed in this wondrous land.Rejoining Yesterday and all her friends of Dwimmerly End on another adventure was all I could have hoped for after a long-anticipated wait. The twists and turns kept me turning pages faster than I could consume tea and the ending has me all the more excited for the 3rd in the trilogy!I couldn’t recommend this more highly and in particular if you know any children aged 7-13, it’s a certain win but I’m yet to hear of anyone of any age who hasn’t throughly fallen in love with this book!

Prepare to be whisked away on a magical adventure to London!
Since reading the first book in the series, I couldn’t wait for the sequel to be released and it certainly did not disappoint. There are so many twists and turns along the way leading to a shocking ending that has made me desperate to know what’s going to happen next! Once again, I felt so immersed in Yesterday’s story that I couldn’t put the book down once I’d started

Wednesday and the wild feast
Second in a fantasy series for younger readers. General level of the writing would make it best for those aged eight to twelve. This series began with 'Yesterday Crumb and the storm in a teacup.' There is a bit of exposition at the start of this one which fills in the story so far. So this could work as a jumping on point. But I think you'll be better off starting with book one to get the most from it.Yesterday is an orphan girl with fox ears. But she's actually a tea witch. She now has a mentor and they have a rather unusual abode. But her father is a bad man who...See what I mean? Go to book one first.Book two runs three hundred and forty six pages. It has twenty three chapters.Wednesday is getting better at her magic. And is going to look for her mother. But then the tea shop is stolen. The only chance to win it back is a magical cooking competition called the Wild Feast. The Faerie Queen who is in charge of this is quite a piece of work. But even trickier adversaries await...Like the first one, this is a nice and charming little read. It is very inventive in the world building. Really feeling fantastical, in terms of people and creatures and setting and the like. The level of detail to this could get a bit involved, but the writer does manage to handle that and make sure you are never overwhelmed.I do like Wednesday as a lead. How she grits her teeth and deals with problems is an appealing character trait. And the plot of this one develops nicely. It's well considered and structured. It does really well as a middle book of a series. I assume it is, because it does end on a cliffhanger which promises more to come. It doesn't just move things along and set up a finale. It develops naturally and opens things out along the way.I did find some of the supporting characters didn't grab me as much as before, although one was pretty decent. But that's only a minor complaint. This is a solid second entry in a capable series. What happens next should be well worth a look.

Another wonderful book!
I loved this book! I really enjoyed the first book of this series so I was very excited to pick this one up. It has a bit of a darker atmosphere but it was still sprinkled with the coziness of tea Witchery and love. I can only hope there will be a third!

A captivating read- I couldn't put the book down even at 33 years old! Great continuation from the first book, a pleasure to read.

A tea witch!
Tea and a great female character and, of course a Tea Witch (who knew?). Like the first book, this is inventive clever and very well written. It will delight young readers who will see London in a very different light after this.Fantastic series.
