Earthborn Elements Acerola Cherry Powder 1 Gallon, Pure & Undiluted, No Fillers

I've been using Acerola for my Vitamin C supplement for 6 years because it is supposed to be the highest natural vitamin C source. My previous powders were a pink-orange color and VERY tart...almost too tart to drink. To my knowledge it was 100% pure and organic.This powder is yellowish. And it is barely tart at all. It has a musty odor/taste. It does remind me somewhat of cherry or fruit, without the cherry flavor.I'm not convinced it is Acerola cherry, but I am not sure that it isn't.I've read that unripe cherries do not produce the red color, but they should have a vitamin C content. Vitamin C content matters more to me than color.So...was the original product doctored to make it more tart? Or is this product inferior? Your guess is as good as mine.If I gather more info, I will adjust my rating. I have given an overall of 4 stars; the product was shipped well and fast. I'm not really sure how to rate it.

Hard to dissolve, unpleasant taste and smells like a tin of cat food. I had loved a product made by a nutrition company for immune support, that was mostly acerola cherry. That product dissolved easily and had a wonderful natural tart cherry flavor, but was quite expensive. I had hoped to replace that product with this, but I find it unpalatable as-is.
