These containers are awesome! My main use is to store vegetables. I buy the veggies, clean and cut them up and put them in the container. Usually peppers, onions, jalapenos, garlic in one container. Spinach or Kale in another (2 bags compressed), Baby carrots in another. Suck out the air and stick them in the fridge. It is much easier to cut a bunch of veggies at a time and store. When I want to eat some I remove the vac seal, pull some out and reseal (very easy) and cook them. Sometimes I keep spinach for more than 2 weeks. Just open, pull a handful out and reseal. It is much better than the zip lock bags they come in and get mushy within a week. Another food I used them for is Pretzels (only kept for 1 month but was as fresh as when I first opened the bag) and hibiscus flowers for tea. I have already purchased 3 sets of these and will most likely buy more for herbs etc..

The small one will not keep a vacuum overnight. Very disappointing! Even after replacing the silicon gasket the small container still will not hold a vacuum overnight, rather disappointed with the small one.The 2 larger ones work just fine.

So far so good, vacuum seal works well. TBD on if the rubber piece holds up, but overall I am very satisfied and will purchase again if I can specifically choose the size canister I want.

Good concept, but the pump broke only after a couple of uses.

Greatest invention since sliced bread

These containers are much more affordable than Foodsaver branded products. The large container is perfect for storing 3lbs of coffee. A little Foodsaver hack saves a ton of time sealing. Remove the green Freshseven nipple from the hand pump. Place it onto the extra Foodsaver accessory port tips and connect to the hose. Seal as you would with any Foodsaver container. Works like a charm!

I was so excited to use these but I would pump the air out and the seal would only hold for 1 to 2 days. I don't know if it had anything to do with that the product was in used but in like new condition. I can't figure out why everyone gave them 4 to 5 stars, maybe mine were defective. I just actually returned them.

I have to say that I just checked these after a week and the vacuum, a true vacuum, still is strong. Of the 3 types I tried, these are the only ones to pass that test. Others claim to make a vacuum and don't. Some others do but it is gone in 24 hours. These work.
