I just received this after waking up from a bad nights sleep! As soon as i got it i charged it up while i was getting my day together and as i ran out the house i immediately started using it! The portability is great for on the go. As for its effectiveness i will update later. But love this size and feel of it.

I am a hiker who deals with hip bursitis and IT band issues. I have been to PT for therapy, which has helped some but not enough. I bought this and use it on high for 5 to minutes and it alleviates the pain. You must use it consistently, and it does get better with time. It can get heavy to hold so you might want to try using the 5-minute setting then rest and do another 5. At first, I was reluctant to buy it because of the price. The reviews convinced me it was a good one and it is. I'm happy with my purchase.

Updated 1/11/23:I love this device even more now. My dog has IVDD and was in so much pain that he could barely walk. He had an MRI taken and the results showed he had experienced nerve damage. The vet mentioned possible permanent paralysis of his back legs. Since the light therapy was helping me, I decided to use it on him as a test. I applied the light therapy on him for about 20 min a day for the last month Wow, what a difference. He can walk normal again like he was doing years back. I'm ecstatic about the power of red and NIR light for injury recovery.I bought this because I've been experiencing lots of pain due to over exercise mainly around the shoulder, elbow and hip areas. I started off with buying a massager then cold ice packs to reduce inflammation. They only helped briefly. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical if this device would actually work but after a month of use I've come to a conclusion that it's an effective way of relieving pain. I'm actually amazed that it does anything. I notice the pain relief immediately while using it. My only real complaint is that it gets a bit tedious holding it after awhile. I wish there was a way I could apply the light therapy without having to hold it in my hand.

I just got my Holsn Red Light and Near infrared Therapy wand today and tried it out immediately. I bought it for painful arthritis in my fingers and thumbs so I focused on those area's today. I can already see a reduction in the pain levels I was having. This device is lightweight, and has easy to read digital displays on it. You can set the time in 5 minutes increments up to 20 minutes and I love how the display counts down to let you know how much time you have left. When it reaches the set amount of time, it shuts off automatically. There is a battery display to let you know when you are running low and need to recharge. I have other light therapy devices but non seemed to really do any good. This one does give off a warmth which I LOVE because a little heat is very helpful for my arthritic pain. I'd been trying to find a device that has both LED red light AND the Near Infrared light range that was within my budget, and this one fits the bill. As I said,.. I've only used it once so far but I am very happy with the first results.
