Cool Season Diet 40 lb Medium Pellet

We've had a large Koi pond for 10 years (approximately 50 Koi and went through a good bit of food). We initially used a number of mid-grade "quality" foods with adequate success. However, our fish grew slower than we thought normal, and lacked color. After using this food for two years now we've found that our fish are more active, healthier, more colorful and more engaging. The food cuts down on waste and we use less of it, Our fish obviously like it, the water seems clearer, and no fish have died from health issues. We will never go back to the lesser foods.

Our Koi are enjoying this very much. Usually, they go to the bottom of the pond when the weather gets cold but this food has them coming up for a nibble once a day. My husband is looking forward to enjoying the herd even into winter. We live in NC so it's rare to get ice on the pond and it's got a current, so there is always a place to feed them. I hope this keeps them healthy until next spring!

We have a 10,000 pond with 30-40 big fish. Several are over 2 feet. We have been feeding Blackwater products for 3 years now. The fish do not complain :-) Absolutely no problems. This product is fed when water Temp is below 70. Above 70 I use BW "Color" formula. I have purchased other brand food at more than twice the price and concluded the more expensive brands are a waste of money. Go Blackwater!

Blackwater Creek makes their own food to feed their own fish. The proof is there for all to see: they have some of the finest koi and goldfish in the USA, and the food is what those fish eat. I've used it for years, and won't take other food even if it's given to me. Period.
