Perfect for on my bedside table. The dim setting is very dim and does not light up the room. NB the first one I received was broken and did not allow any brightness adjustment, but the seller accepted the return and I ordered a replacement that works fine. Keeps good time, unlike my last clock that ran fast.

The clock is a nice size, about the size of a softball. The dimmest backlight is about right for sleeping, and the ability to program timed bright/dim schedule is appreciated (but, I leave mine on dim all the time). The supplied cable is a small cylindrical plug to USB A that's only about 1m long. I needed and extension cord. You have to supply your own wall wart. The clock does not seem to display date. There is one alarm, and the alarm set time is displayed whenever the alarm is ON. 24-hour format is available. The bottom of the clock is hard plastic like the rest of the housing, and could scratch soft varnished furniture. I added a few silicone pads and it's OK now. Alarm volume is not adjustable. The beep wakes me up, YMMV.

Very nice, well-made clock that works well. We've owned other digital alarm clocks from Amazon that proved to be junk. The buttons did not work reliably, features were missing, etc.This clock works well and has nice features. You can put it in "Night" mode and it will turn down the brightness of the display in the evening and back up in the morning. You get to program the time it is turned down and turns up again. Otherwise, you can manually adjust the brightness in three levels, low, medium and high. The brightness levels are just right either in manual or Night mode. The only improvements are: 1) you should get an AC powered usb power module for the price of the clock (you only get a special proprietary power cable that powers off usb); and 2) the instructions are a bit scattered and disorganized. You will find certain features scattered through the instructions and you have to read them top to bottom a couple of times to figure out how to do things - like program the Night mode times. You get a hard copy of the instructions with the clock, but I did not find a pdf of the manual on Newgate's US website. ( I like to save a pdf copy of manuals on my laptop for future reference.) I did come across Newgate's UK website, where a pdf of the instructions were available to download. The power cable uses the old USB A style plug, so maybe you have an old phone charger brick sitting in a drawer that could be used to power the clock.

Highly displeased. Two in a row with broken buttons. Unacceptable for the price point.

Numbers are very very large, which I like. The light is way too bright though, so I can read them well. But I have turn the face to the wall in order to drift off.

I like this clock. It’s cute and doesn’t take up too much space on my small desk. That said, it’s plastic and lighter than expected (given the price). My only other criticism is that the company logo is a permanent part of the digital display above the time. Why not put it in a less conspicuous place? Like the top or the back? It kinda ruins the look of an otherwise clean display.

Heel plastic en goedkoop materiaal. LCD bij wat fellere stand veel lichtlek in het “zwart”. Stekker valt er makkelijk uit.Op een afstandje oogt het geinig, dat wel. Tijd, datum en temperatuurweergave.

L'oggetto è arrivato puntualmente e in un imballo tutto sommato idoneo. Dal punto di vista estetico si presenta bene, la linea ricorda quella di certe tv portatili degli anni '70-'80. Forse la plastica è un po' leggera ma il poco peso può essere un pregio specie se viene collocato su una mensola. Il display è ben visibile anche da non illuminato e le impostazioni sono piuttosto intuitive (istruzioni solo in inglese). La luminosità del display si può regolare soltanto collegando la sveglia ad una presa di corrente tramite il cavo usb in dotazione (serve un alimentatore, va benissimo quello di un qualsiasi smartphone). Se l'orologio viene alimentato solo a batteria è possibile illuminare il display per 5 secondi premendo il pulsante Snooze (la luminosità resta quella di default). La sveglia suona gradualmente emettendo prima un "beep" al secondo che diventa più frequente finché non viene disattivata. Quando la sveglia suona il display non si illumina. Per disattivarla bisogna andare a tastoni ma la posizione dei pulsanti è piuttosto intuitiva. Se si preme lo Snooze l'allarme viene posticipato. Per disattivare l'allarme del tutto va premuto il pulsante campanello (accanto allo snooze). L'orologio va alimentato con 3 batterie AAA (non incluse) anche se viene collegato ad una presa di corrente. Nel complesso un buon prodotto.

Son design inspiré des réveil Seïko des 70s est joli.Simplement 3 bémols :1- pas de câble CC sur secteur mais un cable CC/USB2- Le orange est un peu clair et moins "intense" comparé à la photo3- Le plastique semble assez fragile. Je crains qu il ne résiste mal à des éventuelles chutes d'une table de chevet

You can’t really ask for more than an item working, looking as it did in the product ad and having the features you expect. And this has.One small note - not important to me because I’m using it plugged into the mains power, but on battery power it’s very dim, and designed that way, as otherwise the 2 AA batteries would be out within hours.Again it said so in the description so no surprise. It’s well-designed, made from slightly nicer than usual materials and above all looks good, and actually tells the time pretty accurately.
