Sturdy and comfortable! Easy to assemble!

I can't speak as to longevity of this hammock and stand, as it was a Christmas gift for my husband and it's not the time of year we spend time outside. That being said, we first assembled it inside just to make sure it was all ok (it was) and tried it out to get the level of the hammock just right. It is very comfy and I can't wait until warmer weather when we can actually use it. As for portability, it's still quite bulky even when un-assembled, and I don't see us taking this along when we go camping, although that's an argument for another day as hubby insists we will. I'll update this as it gets used more, and if we take it anywhere. The hammock itself seems very sturdy and well made. It's easy to attach and remove which will be good for us as we have problems with the sun rotting things here if left out for the summer. We'll remove it from the frame when it's not in use.

After reading some of he reviews I worried but decided to give this one a try anyway. I’m glad I did because this hammock is perfect! For me, it was super easy to assemble. The packaging was simple/organized, instructions easy to understand and to put together.The hammock comes in its own carry bag, which I love. It’s made from the same material the hammock is and it has a nice carry rope attached. The big portal bag I haven’t used yet but it seems pretty sturdy.As for the hammock itself, very comfortable and easy to get into. My boys love it and my dog will climb in as well to relax with me. The stand didn’t wobble, bend or disappoint. I’ve tested the weight of it with adding more than one person and it’s stayed strong.

It was super easy to install. I’m a 57 yr old woman and had it together in maybe 15 minutes. Most of that time was unpacking it. I like it because it is extremely sturdy. I weigh a little over 200 and it has no issues with my weight. I did have to move it down a little to raise up the hammock when I sat down. The 2 things I don’t like is it is a little hot. The fabric holds heat in. I really prefer a corded cotton hammock. But this is really comfortable. The other issue I have is the screws that hold the hook that holds the hammock is too long if you like sitting near either end then when you swing the strings hit the bolts. That will eventually tear the hammock strings and mess up the hammock. Otherwise, as you can see from my picture- I’m loving it! UPDATE..3yrs later..it's still in great shape. No holes, not torn. It has faded some but still in good condition. I never put up even in winter. It is under a roof but it's open on all 4 sides so sun, rain ect. can still get to it. Well worth the price.

Mount was easy to assemble. The hammock itself was difficult to put on the first time. I had to pull and stretch it out in order for it to reach the opposite end. It stretched out after laying in it. It’s nice and comfortable so I gave it 5 stars. Just be aware it may be hard to get hammock on the first time and non of the reviews mentioned that.

I have had this Hammock for only a couple of weeks, so I reserve the right to edit or re-review once I have had it longer and used it more. That being said:1) Amazon shipping, be it a 6 dollar part I need or a hammock is STELLAR. I hate to see my prime membership go up, but most weeks I save that amount in shipping alone.2) Assembly was easy. Study the diagram. Follow the steps and it will be together in NO time.3) Accessories:The "sling" it came with was roomy enough for 2. We like the colors more than we thought we would. The bags for storage or taking on the road were sturdy and yes, with the assembly as easy as it is, I could see taking this camping, or to the park, or whatever.4) This was my first experience with a hammock. As much as I hate to admit it, I fell out of the %$*$#! thing. TOTALLY, my fault and I was glad to have it as I rehabbed my back for the next couple of days!Thanks, Betty Weiss and the folks at Sorbus!
