Great night sights for a very good price...
I love these sights...In the daylight I can acquire the target quicker because I can concentrate on the large orange dot in the front, and at night the trijicon inserts glow bright enough for me to get a good sight picture. Getting used to the vertical dot alignment took only a little practice at the range, and once I did I have not noticed any loss in accuracy over the factory sights. I have these on a 9mm Smith & Wesson Shield and have no problem keeping the groups inside a 3" circle at 25 feet. If you bought your pistol for concealed carry, for home defence, or to just plain shoot you will be very happy with this purchase, especially since they are considerably less cost than some other similar night sights that I have seen. One thing worth mentioning if you are new to night sights...Neither the daytime, or the nighttime, sight picture that you get with these sights truly resembles the photograph shown here on the web site. I think that a daytime photo and a nighttime photo might have made this more clear but I am not in charge of their marketing department and I personally still like the sights very much. Here is what you will see when these sights are installed: In the daytime you will see a large orange dot with a small metal center in the front, and a small silver dot at the base of the rear. No yellow is visible in the daytime sight as shown in the photo. At nighttime the orange disappears and you will see the smaller "inner" dot glowing in the front, and the small silver dot glowing in the rear. I have not shot the pistol in the dark to try these sights but I have looked at the sight picture a number of times to practice (always with the gun unloaded of course) and have found it very easy to line up the two small glowing dots vertically on a dark shadow or piece of furniture in the room.Lastly, but still important to me, these sights are not just utilitarian but they look great installed as well. The company obviously put some care and thought into the design of these sights (kudos to you Ameriglo) because I think they look better than the original sights that came with the gun. The design and cut of the rear sight matches beautifully with the lines and curves of the slide of the S&W shield. Because of this feature I found it very easy to install these sights and get the rear sight lined up perfectly with the slide of the gun. The finish matches perfectly with the finish of the gun and, as a result, it doesn't look like an aftermarket sight at all. It looks as if it should have come this way from the factory (Smith and Wesson take note). They are just a teeny bit taller than the factory sights but not enough to be intrusive or prevent holstering or concealability. With all that said, if you are looking for a good quality night sight that still target shoots fairly accurately during the daytime, I think that you would be pleased with these sights. I am just an average guy, not a professional shooter by any means, but I do really like these sights.

Quick, bright, fast, and accurate.
I-Dot Pro sights are super quick. The orange front dot is bright and very easy for my eyes to pick up. The straight 8 sight is great for target acquisition and getting shots on target, especially within 10 yards.I say it is easy to install, but honestly I just dropped the 30 bucks and had a gunsmith do it, as I didn’t feel like doing it myself. If you’re looking to upgrade from the stock 3 dot sights to solid and affordable night sights look no further.I will probably put these on all my carry pistols.

Looks awesome in low light.
Can’t beat for the price. Very easy to pick up front sight in low light. The orange dot stands out great in full light.

I replaced the excellent factory, three-dot white sights on my S&W Shield ...
I purchased these sights on recommendation of a more experienced, more accomplished shooter. The Orange front dot ring makes for outstanding sight acquisition...the front sight being key to accurate self-defense shooting scenarios, where that sight picture is so vital.I replaced the excellent factory, three-dot white sights on my S&W Shield with the Ameriglo sights.........coupled the sight upgrade with the installation of an Apex Shield Carry/Duty trigger kit. I consider the resulting package an outstanding concealed carry option. Couldn't be happier. Keep in mind that Night sights should be considered mandatory for any concealed carry pistol that may serve occasionally, if not regularly as 'double-duty'...(also as a home defense pistol).. I am a big fan of the TruGlo Brite-SiteTFO tritium/fiber optic sights, which provide an excellent sight picture in ALMOST any lighting condition. 'Almost' because at an indoor range, the tritium/fiber optic combo doesn't provide the best front sight acquisition. It's still difficult to see the front sight, unless the overhead range light at your shooting station casts light onto the fiber optic rod. The Ameriglo I-dot, with either the Green or Orange ring surrounding the front tritium sight, makes the ideal indoor or outdoor front sight. Easily seen in ANY lighting conditions. My 'New Favorite'. Frankly, if the I-dot sight is available for your pistol brand, it will be excellent, if not ideal add-on...

Shield ameriglo pro idot.
Nice sights. Bright at night, good quick acquisition. Now for the loss of the fifth star. On a M&P shield installation was ridiculously difficult.Because the rear sight is offset from the base so far a sight pusher is not a good idea, at least the one I have. I had to sand down the base of each the front and rear sight to get it to slide in. Tried to drive it in with a brass punch before I sanded it and it was way to tight. Sand, try, sand, try, Repeat repeat repeat over and over. I just think the sights should be a little closer to the correct size when produced. I do like them and would recommend them just be advised if you are like me and try to do it yourself bring all your patience to the table before you start.
