Kitch Aroma Set of 3 Assorted Grey/Brown/Black flameless Candles 3 x 4/5/6inch Battery Operated LED Pillar Candles with Moving Flame for Halloween Thanksgiving Christmas Home Decor

I bought these last year and loved them so much that I went back to buy more this year so I could decorate the whole house with them for Halloween. I am unfortunately VERY disappointed with the ones I received this year. The quality has immensely decreased. I've attached pictures comparing the 2 side by side. The left is the an old candle and the right is one of the ones I just got. The ones I got last year were heavy and made of actual wax on the outside which I found very impressive as they looked more realistic that way. The ones I received the other day are just cheap black plastic with no texture whatsoever. On top of that, last years candles had a warm orange yellow glow that looked like a real candle in comparison to this year's unrealistic white LED colored flame. I feel like I can't even mix and match them because the flames are different. I wouldn't have purchased these if I knew they would be so much different from the product from last year under the exact same listing. Unless the previous quality comes back, these are NOT worth the money. And I don't even know how well these will last or how well they will work as I just opened them. Don't buy these.

All around these are great. Picked them up as at the time I didn’t see many black flameless candles and they were a great value. Much better than a set of white candles I picked up a while back. Brighter, the remote works (I’ve had issues with other ones where the remote just doesn’t work on 1 or 2 candles in a set of 9), and a much longer life than others. Great if you’re an old goth or trying to conjure the dark lord himself, I would highly recommend.

I had previously bought the same black candles and they are perfectly fine, but these new ones are translucent when on and are not the sizes specified in the details. Also, they don't always turn off after their allotted timer setup, I'll find a couple still on in the morning. You can see the difference between the good ones and bad in the photos. Looks like I am stuck with them since I already threw away the box before I could set them up.

These candles are very nice and function well, I do like the automatic timer function. Be aware though that the "flame" mechanism makes a clicking sound as it bounces around and can get a little annoying in a quiet space. The remote has "candle" or "light" modes and I wish the "light" mode also turned off the moving plastic flame instead of just changing the light from flickering to solid. The moving plastic flame is a cool looking feature, but I had to stick them in place with a tiny piece of earthquake putty to get rid of the clicking sound. Otherwise these are great

I'll preface by saying candles themselves get 5 stars, especially the sets that have the wax coating. They look and feel super realistic. My problem is that I've ordered 3 sets now, and each set has had a different flame color. Even after ordering two of the exact same sets, one has a bright white color and one is much warmer and more orange. This was after returning a set of 2 because it didn't match my set of 3, both because it had a hard plastic coating rather than waxy and the flame colors were noticeably different. If they can get all their flame colors and coatings consistent between sets, these get 5 stars.

I ordered the black candles for Halloween. After receiving my order I set the candles up on my dining room table amongst my other decorations and fired them up after dimming the house lights. The flickering flame effect looked so real , and the black says Halloween. So like a kid amped up on Halloween candy I pulled out my iPad and ordered a second set. They now sit before me in my loft surrounded by crackle glass pumpkins. They look so good I had snickers for dinner. If your into Halloween you need these.

These candles are made of hard plastic, not simulated wax. Which means that even when they’re lit you don’t get to experience what you would expect to see with a black wax candle which is a bit of translucency. I have white flameless candles with a wax like bass and when they’re on you can actually see the light through the base of the candle which is what I was expecting with these. But when lit in a dark room, all you see is the wick that is lit. The only way to experience the fact that the candles are black is to have lights on or use them during the day which completely defeats the purpose.Plus during daylight they look EXTREMELY cheap. Particularly the wick, which is this little floating piece of plastic on top of the solid black plastic “candle.” I really wanted to love these but they’re terrible in every way. So I’m returning them.
