This brushed aluminum look matches the base of my Apple Thunderbolt display, the external drive and track pad. Purchased it to make use of older USB devices with new MacBook's USB-C ports. Works as it should.

No more scrouging around computer trying to find available USB. This sits between my keyboard and screen and could not be more convenient

The main reason I purchased this USB 3.0 hub was to hook up a couple external HDs and a couple accessories to free up USB ports on my computer. It worked well most of the time but I kept having issues with my HDs and eventually went down to one newer drive by itself hooked into the hub. I replaced what I thought was faulty older HDs with another brand new disk just like the one I was currently using (I needed a separate disk for Time Machine backups). Lo and behold I soon figured out the problem when both of my external disks started doing the beeping noise, shutting off, failing to mount, etc. LOW POWER! The USB hub wasn't supplying adequate power to power both HDs at once. I really was NOT expecting that since I've ran drives off USB 2.0 hubs like this before but this particular 3.0 hub failed to do what I needed it to do.The good: It IS pretty, even though I have it on a hidden shelf behind my desk to hide my wires, and seems well made. It works fine for USB wireless accessories, an LED light strip, etc. This is the only reason it gets 2/5 stars instead of 1/5.The bad: Don't expect to reliably power multiple external HDs off of it without possible issue. I am lucky I did not mess up a drive and destroy my work data, family photos/videos of my kids over the years, etc.Would I recommend it? No. Find a different USB hub even if you don't plan to use it with external drives right now you may want that option in the future and this drive may not serve that purpose for you.

My laptop only has 2 USB ports and with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse, but I need more because I work with audio equipment and saving stuff. I was a little nervous because the reviews were mixed when it came to whether they could use bluetooth devices plugging into it, but my Logitech keyboard and Jedel mouse both work with this device so it might depend on the brand. Love the color and the shape. Grips on the bottom keep it from sliding around but its also easy to move if I need to. Overall love it.

I always buy ORICO and this was exactly what I needed. It is not powered, so not for independent charging, but anything you connect to it will work as if it is plugged into the computer. I put my game controller, mouse, etc. and they work perfectly. The only issue is that the USB cable is too short for me. I had to buy a 10ft USB cable. It would be nice if they threw in a longer cable.

great. it is very beautiful and Flash Drives, external HDs and SSDs keep the same speeds when plugged into this Hub. I tested another from sabrent that didn't keep the drives speed. The only con is the cable that is to long, making more "cable salad" in the desk. Should include a shorter cable. I had purchased some short cables but it is hard to find a good cable, you generally loose power supply and speed with the most regular cables on the market
