Cooking Upgrades Deluxe DIY Hot Sauce Kit featuring Carolina Reaper Complete Make from Home Set

I’m really glad I purchased this DIY hot sauce kit. I not only love making things in the kitchen, but I also love a little spice so I thought it’d be fun to give it a try. Wow…this thing is super cool. Not only does it have nearly everything I could need to experiment with different sauces (including gloves for handling the peppers, a funnel, and a bunch of different peppers from mild to hot) , it also has an instruction book with some recipes to get started. I started with the “Sweet Heat Habanero Buffalo Sauce” and followed the instructions. It really made a nice hot sauce. It’s currently in my fridge aging to make the flavor even better.Next time I may try a similar recipe, but use the Carolina Reaper pepper…or at least some of it! At 2.5 million Scoville Units, I doubt I’ll use much of it…haha.Anyway, I think I’m going to buy one of these as a Christmas gift for my son. I really think he’ll appreciate it, too. Bottom line, I’m very please with this purchase.

so far it looks great! I'm so excited to give this to my brother for Christmas. He's going to love it! what a great variety, much better than the "artisan" kits that only come with powders, these have real peppers in them!

The box was full of shattered glass bottles and peppers - not good for for digesting

Looks like a great kit, unfortunately it suffers from poor attention to detail. The packaging is terrible with on small sheet of bubble wrap across the bottom of the box, extending upwards. This did nothing to stop the glass bottles from banging into each other and shattering.I purchased 3 of these kits and each one suffered from either completely shattered bottle or broken bits off lip of bottle.Will have to invest in a set of new 5oz bottles, available here also, but should not have too.

My husband is just getting around to using this now (I got it for him for Father's Day). Upon opening and taking a look, there's ALOT of ingredients, which is awesome. However, we received TWO bags of Chipotle Peppers and NO Ancho Chile Peppers (which it was supposed to come with one of each). A bummer, but I'm sure we can find them at the store.

Two of the bottles in the kit arrived broken. Is there a way to replace them?

Haven't used yet but it's pretty cool. Basically a class in making hot sauce. Can't wait to get the time to make it

Got this for my boyfriend over Christmas, he absolutely loved it! Makes really great hot sauce and a huge variety of peppers!
