Recently bought a 2021 silverado 1500 4x4 and needed to change transmission fluid and filter but the 8spd transmission doesn't have a filler tube (great design GM) so I got this pump and it worked great. I went ahead and changed the transfer case and front and rear differential fluids while I was at it. Then used it to do my wife's Subaru Impreza CVT transmission fluid and front and rear differential also. Soo much easier than trying to stuff a quart bottle up in tight quarters and getting fluid everywhere.

When it arrives you have to assemble the hand pump to the reservoir but it's pretty easy you do, only two screws. You get attachments for many different types of vehicles but I only need the one for Toyota. You have to have the handle go all the way up and then all the way down and it will get a very good pump. It doesn't require a lot of effort to pump the fluid and it flows at a very good rate. I actually pumped my transmission to a little slow just in case some back pressure would form but it didn't happen. Made the job very easy.

The QD did not fit the transmission fill adaptor (I needed the Toyota one). Other fill adaptors fit, so I used the universal one to refill my 2014 4Runner (Trail edition) transmission and I think the machined lip on the Toyota one was not deep enough because it would not seat in the QD. Even then, the QD leaked with the universal adaptor, resulting in a mess during the fill process. Would I use it again? Yes, but.... The pump portion of the unit works ok, but the rest of it (QD to adaptor, failure to seal) is a PITA. The real benefit is the ability to measure how much fluid I was putting back in, not so much if it sealed with no leaks. Note that this unit does not pressurize the tank with air; you have to keep pumping to move the fluid through the hose.

Pump doesn't work takes to much effort to make it suction some oil and then it leaks thru the hose and adaptor connection section.
