The pros is at the magnets help the adults concentrate for the adults that have racing thoughts and can't keep their minds occupied.. the cons of the product is that no one before the age of 14 can have the product because if a child accidentally swallow the magnet while they were playing because little children are going to put things in their mouths because they're curious what does this taste like what does that taste like even though they know it's not food.. they put things in her mouth anyway just didn't want to feel was it like on their tongue.. and they could accidentally swallow it and wind up in the ER emergency surgery.. I would suggest if any adult that is not the age of 14 or younger do not buy these magnets until you turn 14 and older.. and for the adults always make sure you put them locked away so your children or your grandchildren that are not 14 or older cannot get to the magnets they are a safety hazard for pets and children!! Please always make sure you put them away when you're not using them so no one else will get hurt by the magnet.. if they swallow them it could hurt their insides. Keep out of the reach of children!!

good magnet fidget

It was great it entertained my granddaughter for at least 45 minutes.

I had to get myself a second set of these to have enough to play with and be able to make more shapes. They are fun to fidget with. I just wish they came with a few more tiles.

Have had the hex specs for a while so thought of trying this new shape. Kids like it

I purchased (was not given) the Speks sphere set over a year ago (I now have 2 sphere sets) and love it so I was ecstatic when given the opportunity to receive the Speks pyramid set. The pyramid set did not disappoint. The magnets are strong. Building, making patterns, and just fiddling with the set is very satisfying. You would think the clickety clack sound they make when they hit each other would be annoying but I love it. These don't stack well but I don't find that problematic which is weird because I like stacking the sphere sets. I like shape making with these better. You get 12 triangles that when all used can form a triangular pyramid. I would have preferred a set of 16 to give the pyramid 4 sides. You can make a small one with just 4 triangles but its not the same. It feels sort of unfinished. I tried both sets together but don't care for it much. However, two sets of spheres is fantastic together and I imagine it would be the same with the pyramid. These are a bit pricey but as the sphere sets still gets almost daily use over a year later and the magnets are still strong and haven't fallen out I think they are worth it. I anticipate fiddling with these for years to come based on the durabilty of the sphere set. I can't say I like one set over the other. While inherently similar they are tangibly different.

Magnets aren't very strong and the product doesn't function like the new ones.

I ordered these triangle (pyramid) SPEKS along with the octagon SPEKS. After playing with each for a while I feel the number of possible 3D combinations is much greater with the triangles than with the octagon SPEKS. However, I have not mixed the two types to see what I can come up with using all 24 pieces. I ordered the blue triangle SPEKS. Each triangle is dark blue on one side and clear on the opposite side. So in addition to playing with the build combinations you can also experiment with color variations. The section of my review that follows is borrowed from my review for the octagon SPEKS toy.Knowing that the little silver piece at each edge center is actually a rare earth magnet I could not understand why all of the magnet norths seemed to magically align with the magnet souths. Upon close-up inspection I realized that the silver section is a tiny sphere (with the rare earth magnet inside). The silver spheres automatically rotate to achieve north/south alignment. Pretty darn ingenious. These only work because they use strong rare earth magnets. These would not work well if they used non-rare earth magnets. I’m going to give this ‘Adult Toy’ a five star rating because, for what it is, it’s well made, very nice creative design and should last a life time.
