My wife only needs reading glasses but she loses them at work because she takes them off. Glasses cords are ok to a point, but they sometimes come off or glasses get caught on things and break or come off. These half glasses are convenient, she wears them on the end of her nose and can keep them on all day and just look over them when she doesn't need them. Far cheaper than varifocal readers which are the next best alternative.

I have several pairs of this type of specs, from different suppliers. These specs are absolutely fine, decent quality and the the actual lens do the job. I need reading glasses after cataract surgery (now 20/20 vision) and half lenses are great to read etc. while still looking up and seeing long distance. I would have given these specs 5 stars, but had to knock one off because, much to my surprise, they smell awful. I assume it is the plastic they are made of but I have not had this problem with any others. I can only hope that the smell goes very soon, because it is not nice having an unpleasant smell perched on the end of your nose, which stays on the skin afterwards too!

After the removal of cataracts I didn’t need glasses for distance, only for reading. These half glasses are perfect, able to read clearly but no problem looking up and into the distance.

I can keep one pair in the car and one at home so no more searching!
