I don't use the Continuity Camera feature often, but I wanted to get a mount for when we do family FaceTime calls since the iPhone camera is better than the integrated Mac camera.This mount is lighter weight than I expected, but that's not a bad thing - it's less weight on your screen/hinge. I tested this with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and my 16" M1 MacBook Pro. It worked perfectly. The magnetic disk you put in the mount (if you don't want to use your MagSafe power cable) has a thin silicone pad on one side to keep your phone from twisting and to prevent any scratching if you rotate the phone.The only thing I wish it had was an alignment magnet that would keep the camera perfectly parallel to the screen. It's not a big deal and I don't think I've seen any continuity camera mounts that use that alignment magnet, but it feels like that would help get the phone lined up perfectly without any extra fussing.

This camera mount works great for the new continuity mode on Mac laptops. the supplied magnet works just fine and you can also swap out an Apple MagSafe charger so that you can keep your phone charged while on your call. Super simple to use, and seems to be good quality. Easily swaps between portrait and landscape modes.One suggestion would be to include some sort of stickers or something to allow you to change the angle of the mount relative to the screen. Would be really helpful for desk view or any time you want your screen to lean back a little more but still want the phone to point down a bit. I added some tape to the back of mine to make it fit a little more snug on the screen of my MacBook Air M2.

I use this little accessory several times a week - the iPhone's camera quality is so much better than my macbook's, so being able to quickly and easily set my phone on the bezel is super convenient. The magnet slips into place easily on the back of the phone (need to take case off or use a case with mag-safe). Just need to make a slight adjustment to level the camera and you're set. Your zoom calls of whatever will instantly have better quality video. Clear and smooth rather than grainy and choppy. I keep this in my laptop sleeve pocket all the time.

I got this because the official Apple Store version was sold out and back ordered for 3 months.I’m glad I got this version. It’s cheaper but works just as well. The magnet is strong and sturdy. It holds the phone very securely to the top of my MacBook Pro.The other great thing about this version is that you can charge it at the same time as you’re using it. It can be a challenge to see how much power your phone has while on a video call so having this ability to charge and still hold the phone is awesome.Overall great product.

I ordered when the Belkin device was unavailable. It did not surprise me. It really enhances the Continuity Camera feature of FaceTime. For the price it makes the FT session more enjoyable.One disappointment, but not the device, is the weight of my iPhone Pro Max will cause the MB Air lid to fall backwards sometimes. So the angle of the lid has to be precise to minimize the distraction of the falling iPhone.The MagSafe attachment is solid and does not move at all.For as little times as I use the attachment, the device fits my needs well.

Well made. Strong magnet, works with the magsafe puck to charge if you have one.If you have a iphone 12-14 pro max and a case, display angles will be limited as the larger phones are heavy enough to pull down the display. It's 100% on Apple, not these guys.

I was very excited when Apple announced the ability to use your phone as a FaceTime cam on MacBook, and this mount is by far the most simple and effective.The magnet is very strong and holds my iPhone 14 Pro tightly. I’ve already used it for multiple zoom calls and have gotten compliments on the video quality.Buying a second one to keep in my bag, and will leave this one at home.

Edit: the puck appears to have developed cracks like seen in other reviews, but it hasn't affected the functionality of the device.If you have a MagSafe case, the magnet is strong enough. My only advice would be to make sure you angle your laptop close to 90 degrees.

Works great with my iPhone 12 mini and Macbook Pro 16". With these devices there is no issue of undesired laptop screen opening/closing. I would probably caution anyone trying to use a Pro Max iPhone with a Macbook Air, though! This worked great for my needs; a better webcam for conferencing as well as a useful iPhone stand for my research work with Unity Face Capture.

The unit gives you the ability to mount this on your laptops.Pro: Ability to use this to hold your iPhone on your laptop, light weight, ability to use the charger.Cons: really flimsy - dont press too hard - you will crack the plastic very easily, you can not have a cover on your laptop - if you do, you have to get rid of this, magnet - although its strong, its not strong enough. If you have a cover on your iPhone - you need to remove this consistently. The magnet provided is just not enough.

Es una excelente alternativa! Tiene opción de configurar con cargador mag safe o bien con una add on que tiene para hacer el mag safe con el teléfono directo. Acomoda perfecto en la pantalla para hacer las conexión entre el teléfono y la aplicación y trabajar cómodamente, también es fácil de transportar.
