Worked perfectly after cutting off the tab of metal in the front. I believe you might be able to get away without cutting off the tab if you completely drop the tank. Great price compared to oem.

This unit fit on my Jeep JK 2-door just fine. All the holes lined up good and it had good finish on the paint. If you are doing this job yourself its not a bad job. You should do yourself a favor and search Amazon for a DC impact driver for this. There are like 10 rusty bolts to remove and its a PTA to do it with a ratchet.

Overall, fit and finish are pretty good. Like the factory original, it is snug. If you don't want to drop the fuel tank, you'll have to get creative with a couple ratchet straps to suspect the fuel tank while you remove and replace this shield. I ran my jeep until I had 30 miles until empty to keep the weight of the tank low. This replacement has a section of metal on the front that was not on my 2010. I had two options: drop the tank and shield, or cut off the small section with an angle grinder. [Angle grinder won].Sprayed the exposed steel with primer and paint, then bolted it up. All totaled, start to finish was under three hours. Hope this lasts the remainder of the life of the Jeep. [OEM never should have rotted out...]Same size, thickness as MOPAR, buy half the price. Made in Taiwan.

Great product to replace the discontinued OEM. Used on my 2011 Wrangler. Had to cut a little off the end. Use the old one for a template before you try and install. Hit the cut end with some under coating or black paint.

Said it fit a 4 door and it did not. Refund taking forever!

You will have to trim a small piece off. But it's easy. Just use the original for a guide. Does NOT come with bolts. Fits great. Best to be down to almost empty on gas gauge because it does support the whole tank.

The overall quality is decent for an aftermarket part. It’s a slight bit thinner than OEM and doesn’t have the double thickness mass damping plates on the side as the OEM does. Also the bolt hole alignment isn’t perfect, but it can be made to work without too much effort. If you are a serious off roader and plan to skid across rocks frequently. I would buy a thicker aftermarket part from quadratec or stick with OEM, but at half the price it does great for the occasional off roader like me and it’s way better than a rusted part. Also the front flap thateveryone is cutting off can be bent to fit with a large pair of channel locks and does offer a little added protection to the front corner of the tank.
