I bought these to go on the top of an antique cabinet in my dining room. I had a string of white Christmas lights that were slowly burning out bulb by bulb, and needed a pretty replacement. I was actually looking for plug-in lights, because I get tired of going through batteries, and bought these by mistake. However, they are very pretty and I don't regret the purchase. I am going to keep looking for a plug-in strand for daily use, and put these somewhere to use occasionally so as to not use up the battery so fast.The light these give off is white, but the surrounding ball makes it a more yellow glow. I mention that because I don't like bright white lights and prefer a more yellow light. These are yellow enough to be pretty and not harsh.

Bought three of these strings and used the Amazon basics AAA batteries in them. Sadly, after about 1-2 days of use the lights are at max, about 50% of what they were originally. So if you plan on using these a lot, you’re going to be flying through batteries trying to keep them looking bright.

They look great on or off! I highly recommend them and with that price you definitely can’t go wrong! I also love the fact that they are battery operated so you don’t have to search for an outlet and they fit perfectly above my bed .
