Q: What kind of tang does it have?

Because of the balance issue with this model OKC knife. I decided to remove the molded handle and replace it and the finger guard with heavier brass and animal bone pieces. Well let me tell you that the handle falling or pulling off of the blade is not ever going to be a problem! It took two hours of hard work to get the handle off of the blade. This is a true full tang knife and it’s not skeletonized the balance issues come from the lightweight handle material. The tang is slightly smaller than the handle dimensions and the lanyard hole lining tube is pushed though a hole in the tang. I honestly don’t know what you could do to break the handle off of this knife. I have 3 different models of the OKC Spec series knives. I am completely impressed with the quality of such a economical knife. The only thing better about a K bar is the steel pommel.

sp 10 has a sabre grind, sp 5 has a flat grind, as well as the sp 10 being a heavier blade.

It is 1/4 thick and is flat ground

Q: What is the difference between sp-5 sku 8320 and sp-5 sku 8681?

It also appears that version 8320 was made using 1095 steel where the 8681 version is made using 1075 steel; trading hardness for toughness. Personally, I prefer 1095 but this is a large fixed blade.
