These are really beautiful mugs. They are solid copper and the handles are soldered rather than riveted. For me, the main selling point on this set was the shape of the handle. The angular ones tend to get uncomfortable after holding them for a while, the rounded handles on these are comfortable and elegant. The set that I received was in perfect condition and all items were in the box.There are some things that you should know if you are considering these mugs:Copper will tarnish. As others have mentioned, these mugs have to be washed immediately after use. If you do not then they will tarnish. For me it is a labor of love. I enjoy them and I understand that I have to maintain them.Copper will sweat. Plan on using a coaster.Copper adds a taste to the drink. I wasn't aware of this when I got them and I don't know if it would bother me if I was drinking a soda. However, I like the flavor it adds to a Moscow Mule.

These sellers annoy me so much. They advertise one thing and send something else. I have ordered these mugs before. My original set was as pictured. These new ones are flimsier feeling, and lighter weight by 13.3 percent! I weighed them on a scale. They are smaller! They have a handle that is not as pictured! The new handle is just folded over and welded at the top instead of seamlessly disappearing into the cup AS IN THE PICTURE. My old set is great. This new set was for a gift and I have to return it. Buyer beware, you will not get the quality cups pictured.

Worth the extra 20 dollars. They are heavy and the copper is real! My drinks stay cold and I'm about to purchase a second set. I can't believe I debated the cost with this set.

I was so impressed with these mugs! First appearances...the box that the mugs are packaged in creates a high end look before even opening. The box is sturdy, great quality, and my daughter who is a graphic designer loved the font and design of the label. So if you are buying this as a gift for someone, as I was, you will be more than pleased with the presentation of this packaging. The mugs themselves are fabulous! I love copper and the craftsmanship of these mugs is beautiful, well designed with an expertly handcrafted look. This product looks so expensive, your recipients will definitely think you paid more than you did! I will definitely be purchasing more from this company in the future. Great quality!

I love these mugs, they get super chilly with mules and add the proper taste. They came in a beautiful box that made me regret not using them as a gift - I would highly recommend these as wedding gifts or a Christmas party gift. The bottoms are stamped with the hand-crafted insignia but also have "Made in China" stickers on the bottom of each mug which made me question the way they were advertised. They are wonderful mugs so it doesn't matter where they were made but I kind of thought I was supporting a local business with this purchase... If gifting, I recommend removing each cup and taking the sticker off the bottoms first :-)

I'm pretty disappointed with these. I ordered a set of the lined mugs and found them to be quite ugly, with large, dark streaks on every cup. The cups weren't shiny at all. The streaks did not wipe off, and I assumed they were from the lacquer coating they put on the outside of the lined mugs. Because I knew there was a lacquer coating I didn't bother with a copper polish, but maybe that would have helped? I returned the first set and ordered a second, hoping it was a fluke, but the second set was the same if not worse. I forgot to take pictures before packing them up for return, but my advice is that if you decide to give these a try, order with enough time to make a return and try a different brand. Or maybe try the unlined version, since those aren't supposed to have a lacquer coating at all.

I chose these mugs based on the fact that they are pure copper and that there is no varnish on the inside to slow down tarnishing. I don't mind caring for them. It's really quite easy. They are beautiful, well-made, and excellent for cold drinks. I was quite pleased with this purchase and will consider sending them as a gift in the future. The company sent extra recipes via e-mail after, but the basic mule recipes came with the gift set.

Haven't seen proof whether drinking directly out of copper is dangerous, but figured why take a chance? Searched for Moscow Mule mugs with lining (usually either nickel or stainless steel); found a few--but other than these, none had the lining material on the lip of the mug. We figured if you're going with lined mugs, shouldn't the exact point where the mug touches your lips be safe, too? Upon their arrival, we also saw these are bigger than the ones in which restaurants serve us Mules, so there's plenty of room for ice and the full-out recipes the way I like to mix them.
