The only textbook I don't resent buying
Definitely my biggest college textbook and probably the only one worth it's price! and the resale value was surprisingly high!

Great Book
I've been in EMS several years now, and currently finishing up my associates degree for paramedic. Our assigned text was Caroline's Emergency Care in the Streets 6th Edition. I have the highest respect for Nancy Caroline, but her book has been edited and revised so many times that the flow is just hard to learn from. I have some Brady books but decided to go with the newest Mosby 4th edition, paid for it myself as an investment for the National Registry. The 4th edition has all the new curriculum standards, new 2010 AHA Guidelines. The book is laid out very nicely and esy to study from. I wish I had a Mosby book from the very begining.

Best Paramedic Book yet :)
I really liked the book, its complete and updated and more easy to read than my previous book which sometimes I found it boring to read due to to much side note (summary, same meaning) that already included in the paragraph (I do have a brady essential of paramedic care updated which I purchased last december 2010).. So far, so good. Why? the "did you know" box keep me interested for additional information and looking forward on it.. Mosby did good job about this book for updates.. I'm reviewing it right now for the preparation to my exam this coming april

Acceptable
Is an acceptable book. However, any EMT-I's or B's with a lot of field experience will probably be frustrated by the repetitive and long winded nature of it. Basics with little or no field experience going straight into Medic will probably want this book. Or even basics going into Intermediate. As general study though, I personally wouldn't recommend it, however, I don't regret the purchase. It is a little bit grating that so many textbooks pander to the lowest common denominator of the group, yet expected, and there is nothing empirically wrong with the book; hence 5 stars.Highly experienced Intermediates will likely want to skip this and go straight to raw texts.

Good quality
Bought this as a present for my paramedic student son, I had heard it was a useful book to have. I did not realise it was American, but the principals are the same and he has been able to use it and reference thing from it during his study. During placements qualified paramedics have stated that they had this book also. Good quality hardback book, easy to read and find information needed.

Out of print book, needed for some paramedic programs.
The book is, unfortunately, out of print, so being able to get a copy, as it is required by some paramedic programs, is good. The enclosed CD Rom is a waste of space - empty when I opened it, and let's face it, with newer computers, not many take CD Rom devices anymore.Requested replacement or memory stick, rather than CD Rom, but seller has not chosen to reply after more than a week, which is somewhat disappointing.

Super Buch!
