Perfect I just do not get why the plain block ...
My son loves anything Japanese/chinese. WHen he received this for Christmas he was so excited. Perfect I just do not get why the plain block of wood was added and not the original stamper, that is the only down fall to this product. It should include a original Chinese stamp. but it is a plain block of wood. that's disapointing. but my son stil enjoyed this item. I bought the stamp from a seperate site to complete the set.

The shipping package could have been more cushioned for this product. The ink stone (the round bit in the middle, where the ink goes) was chipped. The ink block (which is the actual ink that you get wet and grind to create liquid ink was about as thin as a box of tic tacs. The pictures I felt were misleading. They should have showed how thin the ink block was. The brushes are of a medium quality brush, and loose some hairs on occasion. The brush rest is not finished on the bottom and is not glazed. It was a requirement to buy some felt pads, (which are inexpensive), to place on the bottom of the brush rest to keep it from falling over. i would not buy this from this seller again, however be that as it may, you get what you pay for and this was inexpensive. Hence the three stars.

Nice set, in beautiful case. Makes a great gift!
Bought as a gift for a Chinese student in the US, and he liked it very much, and was very excited to receive it. He carefully explained how each piece works and how to use it. It was fun to see him react to this gift. He enjoys art very much.
