Originally saw these in a FB ad & looked into them but decided they were a little too weird & probably didn't work well as I'd not had great experience with no tie laces previously. No way were those little bumps gonna stay in place. But, I'm chubby & out of shape & the floor is very far away making it difficult to tie shoes. So got to looking around & these came up again so thought I'd give them a try. They're amazing! They truly make your shoes slide on & off easily & are just the right amount of snugness. Took them for a trial walk today & my shoes did not slide around at all, could not feel any extra pressure from the bumps (which I was worried about) & they are super easy to tighten & loosen just where you need making for a perfect fit. The bumps make a satisfying little pop when you pull them through to lace them & the end bump stays in place even though my chubby ankles tried to pull them out. Very impressed!! I need more shoes so I can buy more!

I don’t often do reviews but I had to for these laces! I just started working in retail and am on my feet all day. My shoes were constantly coming untied and I have tried several different products to rectify this situation but nothing has worked like these laces! They keep my shoes as tight as I like them and even when I am running around the store, they don’t loosen. This product is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them!!!

I ordered these at the suggestion of a friend who runs. I haven’t tried running with these laces yet but they are very comfortable and easy to use. There was a bit of a learning curve to get the laces just right, but overall I love them. I have noticed the pressure points on the tops of my feet aren’t as bothered as with regular laces. I highly recommend these.

I really really hate tying shoelaces and don't feel I want to waste any time down there if I didn't have to, so over the years, I have tried several no-tie laces, all from Amazon. At first, I used (LOCK LACES), and while they gave me what I wanted, I didn't appreciate the "lock" being there hitting my show back and forth as I walked, so then I tried two similar brands (Homar No Tie Elastic Shoelaces) and (Diagonal One No Tie Shoelaces ), and these are pretty similar with an elastic silicone laces you'd individually install to replace shoe strings. And I actually LOVE these (either of them), but installing them took a LONG time, sometimes an hour, sometimes more, and because I changed shoes so often, I got really tired of wasting THAT time, so I tried these, and here are there advantages over the other ones:1) They are very easy to "install" compared to the individual silicone laces. Took only a few minutes2) Unlike the individual silicone laces, they are more easily adjustable. You tied one show too tight? no problem! Just untie and re-tie again! The elastic ones? ugh! It took forever to remove, and I often had to cut them to get them out, and it took a long time to put in another lace.3) They glow in the dark and I feel safer walking outside when wearing them.4) They stay in place, meaning they solve my problem of not needing to untie or tie every time I wear my shoes, I just slip them on and off easily, and I've been using them for 4 months and they never came undone.So my only issue is that they are bulky, compared to regular string laces or the elastic silicone laces, and I do feel them pressing against my foot sometimes, and that makes them something I wouldn't want to buy again, but if you're not bothered by these things then I highly recommend them!

***IMPORTANT NOTE: IF YOU TRIM THEM YOU NEED TO USE A LIGHTER TO MELT THE ENDS TO PREVENT FRAYING, JUST LIKE YOU WOULD WITH ROPE. All of the negative reviews are from fraying, not actual use.***Most amazing Amazon find! My daughter hates tying her shoes but she has sized out of her favorite slip-on Nike style (these are her shoes on my feet...). I bought her new tennis shoes at the beginning of the summer and noticed she has been favoring one pair over the other. When I asked why she said that the purple ones have better laces that stayed tied (round "bubble" laces vs. traditional flat ones). I was not about to let a pair of relatively expensive shoes go to waste over lace favoritism so I went to the Google to see if I could buy the same laces the other shoes have. INSTEAD I FOUND SOMETHING BETTER. These Caterpy laces come in 3 sizes and are stretchy like a hair tie so you can turn any shoe into a custom-fit slip-on! We left them long like regular laces which is why they look like they tie, but the little rubber ball holds the lace in place at the eyelet. The ends CAN be trimmed and tucked in for a "no lace" look. They are very good quality so when she grows out of these shoes, I definitely think we'll be able to use them in another pair so I left them at their full length for growth. I HIGHLY recommend them.Sidenote: we have tried the rubber "no tie" pieces and found that they didn't allow enough stretch to get her foot in the shoe without removing the top piece BUT the shoe was too loose at the ankle without that top piece. Unfortunately the design of the rubber pieces also made installation a beating and didn't work with all shoes types (loops instead of holes). My fingertips are still sore. Putting Caterpy laces in is exactly the same as putting in regular laces allowing for many different lacing styles.

There either needs to be an additional size or better sizing descriptions. My 5 eyelet New Balance barely fit the standard size and are very tight. I can’t wear them for more than an hour or so. They fit fine in my 5 eyelet Nike shoes. Using this method as a sizing guideline seems very universal at best. This leaves me with two extra sets that I really can’t use.

Makes putting the shoes on easy. Holds up well while running.

I have a lot of trouble with my feet... plantar fascists last year... meyatarsalgia and mortons neuroma off and on for 30 years. I'm fussy about my shoes. I use Altra shoes but their laces are always slippery. I heard about these and was glad I tried them. My laces stay in place. If I buy again I'll get the longer laces. I didn't measure ahead of ordering and forgot I need extra laces to tie up the extra hole thingy at the top of the ankle. I'll know better next time. But these are fantastic. I'll never buy any other kind of laces ever again.

Love caterpy laces, wish they did multi packs as I want them in all my running shoes. Mainly used in a few pairs of Pegasus 35 without issue. Just makes sure you experiment with different variations of laces to make sure you get tightness and looseness where you require it. Thought would be too loose but they grip the shoe so well, without strangling your foot. Never have laces come undone again
