Great heater
I’m pretty sure this is oversized for my tank as it’s only 20 gallons. Since I have a heater built in to my Oase filter, I can’t adjust it. It just keeps the temperature at 78 degrees. I purchased this to raise the temperature of the tank when I had ICH. It heats my tank to 85 degrees in about an hour. It’s great to see the temperature displayed on the heater. There is also an indicator to let you know when the heater is working and when it’s reached the desired temperature. I like that I can even do water changes without having to unplug it. Once the water level goes just below the top of the heater, it displays ER and flashes letting you know that it has stopped heating. Once the water level goes above the heater, it automatically turns back on. Overall this is a great heater and I highly recommend it

Lasted less than two months...
This item, as well as the return experience with hygger, were total garbage. I ordered this on February 23rd of 2024, and had to buy a new heater on April 5th of 2024. Meanwhile, as it was still cold in my part of the country, I lost over a dozen fish in my 75 gallon tank when the temperature plunged due to the heater failure. I was expecting that the error systems and warnings would alert me to any issues, but the heater never showed any signs of error, just simply stopped working and lost all power. I only noticed this when double checking my manual thermometer one morning to find the tank temperature at 62 degrees F, and witnessed the carnage in the tank from all the tropical fish who died from temperature shock. Everything else was functioning on the same power strip/surge protector, and after trying multiple outlets on the strip as well as other outlets in my house I know are functional, there was simply no power going to the device. No lights, no sounds, no indication that there was any power flowing through the heater at all.Understanding that sometimes these things just happen, I tried reaching out to hygger support directly, as stated in the manual that came with the heater. However, their response was to demand I send them a video of the device not working. While this may sound trivial, it is terrible customer service, and I refuse to jump through needless hoops when trying to return a defective product. I will not be dealing with hygger support again, and will certainly not be purchasing any of their products in the future. I feel it was an expensive lesson ($47.32), but valuable in the long run. Congratulations, hygger. Your terrible customer service/return experience cost you a customer.Since then, I purchased the: Fluval E 300 Watt Electronic Heater, and have been nothing but pleased with the device. It doesn't look as sleek as the hygger, but totally delivers on functionality.

easy set up, works consistently
gone thru a lot of fish tank heaters--this is really easy to set up, has not failed yet and I like the way it sticks down further in the water so water changes are easier -- IF needed will buy this again

Update: Keeps Tank Temp, but...
I've been using this heater in a 2.5 gallon aquarium with cherry shrimp. Set-up of the heat-to temperature and in the tank was easy. Suction cups held on the aquarium wall for a while, but not for long. The temperature was set at 73 deg F and this heater has maintained that as a minimum very well even in the winter months when ambient is as low as 60 deg F. The heater's display is in agreement with the probe thermometer. After about 10 months of use, part of the right LED digit has given out which makes that readout useless. Too bad. Almost perfect.——-Stopped heating after 14 months. Average life span. Better than some. Worse than others. Leaving at 4 stars.

pretty good so far
So, I originally purchased a very expensive aquarium heater when I first set up my 40 gallon tank. It was advertised as one of the very best. Right out of the box, it's performance was unpredictable. I never knew if the temp in my tank was even close to the same, all throughout the day or night. It gave many false readings, and took forever whenever the tank temp actually did go too low, (per readings of my intank mercury thermometer) to return to the setting. So, I took some advise and got this Hygger heater. It is so easy to read (even from across the room). So far, temp has remained with .1 degree in either direction of where I have it set. All the time.Needless to say....for now, I would highly recommend this heater as an excellent buy. Will update if something should change, (but not expecting that to happen)It doesnt require some crazy angle placement in tank...and while water flow is is important....it doesnt require extreme flow.worth every penny

Works Great
I bought this for my 110gal outdoor pond and I appreciate the long cord and the ability to set the temperature without having to get wet. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we’ve had some very cool nights lately. This heater has done a fantastic job keeping the water heated and I love that I can see the display temp easily from above. I placed the heater next to the pond pump and even though it cycles up through a bog filter and gets exposed to the outside air until it waterfalls back into the pond, it doesn’t seem to have any trouble keeping a pretty consistent temp. I will be putting a greenhouse and heater around the pond area for the days/nights below freezing but I’m confident this heater will keep my fish nice and comfy.

Lost heater in power surge
So all the heaters Insist you plug I to a outlet. Well when you're not home and the power goes out you will have a rod failure. I stick to the 110v outlets for my smaller tanks and install outlet power banks on my big tank. Now all my heaters are on a form of a power strip. I ordered the other version of this heater for the 110 🔌 plug.

Works well.
So far has been working great. I am using it in a 15 gallon tank for my Betta. It has maintained a 77/78 F temp perfectly with no issues which I have checked against a digital and Mercury thermometer. Very easy to use and like that the control of temperature is outside of tank so don't have to reach in tank and disturb it.Now its just a matter of time to see how long it lasts.

Buen producto.
The media could not be loaded.

Excellent product so far
Easily keeps my 180g tank warm in a cool basement, easy to use. Temp is offBy about 2 degrees, which is actually pretty good for a heater that can’t be calibrated. Now long term reliability is yet to be determined.

Lasted 3 months
I like the heater but after 3 months it popped up with H1 code...short circuit fail...time to replace. Bought another heater, of same brand but bigger...it last 2 months then just stopped. Garbage!
