Great for more than a horse
I have worked with horses and trail rides and I have never used a pad this small. I've used a full sheepskin that covers under the entire saddle, as well as other saddle pads to protect the horse from saddle sores.Google tells me this type of tiny pad is for under the front of the saddle where an older horse may have lost some muscle mass in its withers, so this adds coushin and lifts the saddle away from the horse. Thus, it is quite small. It is not what I expected. But it is quite thick and plush. You can feel the quality. Also, being a many miles in the hot summer sun and also cold weather motorcycle rider, I am familiar with the year round seat appreciation of sheepskin. It is warm in winter and moisture wicking cooling in summer. So, I am going to use this small thick pad on my exercise bike. I will also move it over to my favorite hard chair as needed when I'm not on the exercise bike. This is a good thick small pad with high quality and dense feeling.

nice wool seat pad
i dont use this for its intended purpose as i dont ride horses. I use this as a pad on my motorcycle seat when i'm touring long distances. adding this pad to my seat makes long days much more comfortable. normally after about 6 hours i would be very uncomfortable but with this pad i can normally get to about 8 hours or so before i start getting uncomfortable. after a few days of putting in 8 to 10 hours in the saddle i wont take another multiday trip without this pad again. i now just need to add an elastic band to strap it down to my seat a little more securely.
