I would NOT recommend these bookcases at all.I chose them because they came assembled but, as others have said, this is a false economy because they can easily arrive damaged. A minuscule amount of packaging is put in the box and so the bookcases are extremely prone to damage in shipping. There was a huge hole in the side of one box when it arrived. The manufacturer slips four small styrofoam corners on the four corners of each bookcase (and they don’t stay in place). Besides that the inside of the box is all empty air.Once you take your bookcase out of the box and stand it up, there are more problems. The shelves for the books are not deep enough. Some fat books don’t even fit AT ALL. If a slender book does fit, the front part of the shelf which is supposed to offer support is not tall enough and the book constantly tips forward. Spiral bound books sag, which damages them. Because the shelves aren’t deep, the corresponding storage shelves in the back aren’t deep. You know why it is photographed with a few tiny containers of play dough on the shelves? Because that is literally all that you could possibly fit there. I was thinking these shelves would offer valuable new storage space in my classroom. Wrong.But the biggest problem of all, besides them likely arriving damaged and then not holding much of anything, is that they are so narrow they tip over. My four year old had one fall on him when he was using it as a wall in a fort. My robot vacuum cleaner can move these things. She bumps them and they move. That’s NOT a good thing. If these bookcases were deeper they would hold more (front and back) and not tip over. So why aren’t they better made??? They may be made of real wood but it’s so very cheap and lightweight. I would rather have my books in a plastic milk crate than in these things. A crate would hold more books... and it wouldn’t fall on my child.

It’s a great bookcase and just what I was looking for. However it arrived with a top corner damaged. I can’t even find where to contact about this. It’s not ideal you receive a damaged product. They have to enhance their packaging with solid styrofoam covering the entire top and bottom so it doesn’t move, not a little piece on each corner which clearly led to the damage. If it wasn’t for this I would had been very satisfied.

Love this Wooden Book Display , Holds ALOT of Paperback books , It came all in one piece, Did not have to put it together , Took it out of the box, and put it in my sons room , Put the paperback books it it, and it's done , Order two more of them , Husband is VERY HAPPY !

A nice natural color, durable and high-quality material. It was a pleasant surprise that you don't have to assemble these shelves. They already come as depicted in the picture.

best bookshelf for a child. It's very sturdy. It doesn't take up a lots of room and allows a child to see the front cover of each book thus catching their interest.

Ordered this for nursery. Top corner was broken and packaging was damaged. Too difficult to return so I spent 15$ for wood glues, clamps, and wood putty to fix it. VERY FRUSTRATING, but as good as new.

very nice and sturdy. I wanted something already assembled and this works perfectly
