"OK", but not really a secure design..
The bracket itself is very robust, but the adhesive doesn't seem to like certain textures like the "matte" texture of the majority of plastic parts. I think this would work well on slick surfaces though. On that matte surface I was able to pop it off repeatedly with just my fingers. With the combo kingston lock sticking out acting as a lever it just didn't do anything. ^^;; I'm not sure that this can, by it's nature, truly secure something to be honest.. it is just a sticker. Still, I think the plate needs to be larger if you plan to only use adhesive to secure somethingFor our needs it needed to be very very secure as it was to secure a very expensive wireless router in a very public area. I ended up just sticking it to the router, taking the router apart, then drilling holes into the case and bracket. If I had to do this again I would had drilled holes into the bracket and then tapped the bracket. Then I would had put the machine screws in from the other side of the case with some lock tight. That way it would had been clean looking and wouldn't had allowed anyone to remove the bolts.

Easy Way to Add Kensington Slot to Device
I like how easy it is to add the slot plate to a device not factory equipped with one. There's been a spate of laptop thefts from coffee shops in my area. I put one of these on my MacBook Pro so I can attach a security cable when I use my computer in a risky venue. I also use them to add a little theft protection to Arlo outdoor cameras.

Small but made of metal and durable.
Small as heck pictures make them look big they are not. But I used jb wield I recommend it over the sticker use super glue instead if you want temporary adhesive

Perfect!
Great option for slim laptops that have no port for the lock. I also, based on another review, used Gorilla epoxy to attach it to my daughters computer. It is not going anywhere! I used painters tape to tape off the area around the plate so that the epoxy did not leak out onto the computer.

This is junk
Don't expect this to stick to any plastic. Oh yeah, my whole computer is plastic. Junk. The piece is made out of strong metal so If you use epoxy it should stick. As is, does not work at all for me. Zero Stars.

Excellent product to use with kensington type locks.
These worked perfectly. I did not have a kensington lock port on my tablet so that is where these came in. They are fantastic. Now I can lock my tablet and leave the room without worries. I would highly recommend them.

Great if you can drill a hole. Adhesive is useless.
If you can drill a hole, though, you probably don't need to buy this at all.
