WWE: Greatest Superstars of the 21st Century

There are times in my thoughtlife I accuse WWE of putting together sloppy dvds to push sales and while I enjoyed this dvd and will continue to enjoy it, I have to label this dvd as one of those "sloppy dvds." You might think, "But, you gave this dvd 4 stars!" My reply is, "Yes I did. If you continue to read, I will let you know why I gave this dvd a 4 star rating and a "sloppy dvd" rating."This dvd features short overviews of the greatest superstars in the 21st century. I agree with the dvd creator's selection of superstars (except for John Cena of course), except there could be more superstars added to the list, but I guess there could always be *more* content added to a WWE dvd. Some superstars are treated fairly, while others are given extremely short treatment like Brock Lesnar. Granted, his time in WWE was short, but he accomplished a lot in his time, not to mention help make a host of outstanding matches. The time spent on his profile could have been better. There are some other superstars who had similar treatment, though at the moment I can't think of them (ruh-roh!).The match selection. Wow. The iron-man match between Angle and Lesnar alone warrants purchase of this dvd. Every Angle vs Lesnar match is gold, but this one is, uh, goldier. There are a lot of good matches in the selection (I won't go into them in this review since many others have covered the match listing) and, per usual, there could have been more. I think that is what is missing with this dvd. What is the purpose of the dvd? To showcase the greatest superstars of the 21st century right? Well, that's what I thought too, but I think we might be wrong in our answer. Why? Because there are a lot of the greatest superstars listed in the "featurette" who are noticeably absent from the match listing (Jeff Hardy to name one-he isn't in any of the featured matches). I have a problem with that. The viewer should be able to see a match on this dvd of every superstar who was listed in the "greatest superstar of the 21st century" listing. Am I asking too much? I don't think so. There was ample room on these dvds to do that and more.Two problems with this dvd: sloppy featurette/documentary of the greatest 21st superstars and not enough matches.Good things about this dvd: Good choices of matches in the match listing. There are some phenomenal matches on this dvd collection like Lesnar vs Angle, Jericho vs RVD, and HHH vs Edge to name a few. This dvd is worth the buy and truly is a 4 star rating, but the only thing that saved it is the match selection, which could have been much longer.
