too small but seems well made.
This rear bike bag is ok. You can through your cell phone, wallet, a few wrenches and screw drivers, spare tubes, patch kit,a couple pieces of fruit and Cliff Bars all in the main compartment. What I had in mind when I bought this rear bike bag was that I could bring home a dozen donuts in one of those pink donut boxes or bring home a gallon of orange juice and a few cans of soup, or bring home 4 burgers and 4 fries to my family. The main compartment can barely fit a gallon of orange juice or can barely accomodate a dozen size box of donuts and definately can not allow me to bring home 4 fries and 4 burgers at once. The side panniers dont hang down very far and can`t really hold too much. Also the side panniers, when not lowered, take up a lot of space from the main compartment. The quality seems to be good but I`m thinking the main compartment needed to be a few inches longer and wider and the panniers needed to hang down another 4 to 5 inches. Also, this rear bike bag has the looks of a soft sided lunch cooler a co-worker might take to work and not the looks of a hardcore cycling touring pannier bag. You lose coolness points using this rear bike bag.UPDATE, this product is awesome. It`s well made and just the perfect size for a couple 16 oz bottles of water, cell phone, car keys, wallet, some spare tools, couple spare tubes, and even a stowable wind breaker. I`d buy it again and recommend it. It`s also about the same size as the mountain bike police use.

This Small Bag is the Perfect Size
The seller provides images with detailed product measurements and they are accurate. So the size should not come as a surprise to the shopper.I have an extra small Giant Escape 2. This bag fits perfectly. With the side panniers and expandable lid, there is plenty of room for cargo. The main compartment lid has an inside pocket that securely holds my smartphone. Two bungee cords (included) with hooks secure the panniers to the rack when the panniers are open. A shoulder strap is included. The build quality is excellent (Made in the USA :-). The velcro straps securely attach the bag to the rear rack.I highly recommend this bag to any biker looking for plenty of storage in a compact size.

Great bag for short trips and excursions
Great bag. Mounted on my rack perfectly with three Velcro straps. This is secure and doesn’t move. More room that I actually had expected. I fit extra shorts, shirt, socks in the main area and the panniers were great for extra small items like power bars and the like. Once closed the water bottle straps held my bottle securely. This is a gray bag. Highly recommend this bag.

Perfect size and impeccable construction
This bag is perfect. Not too big but not small. I love that the sides zip out for extra carrying capacity but also fold in to keep it more compact when needed. It comes with a rain fitted tarp that is an extra cool detail. This is a great bag. The velcro on the bottom is strong and truly grips the bike racks bars. Glad I got this one.

i wanted it smaller
So this is really smaller then most bags.. that is why they call in piccolo.. but still it holds a fair amount. i did not want a big pack in the back.. just something that would hold my lock, phone, wallet, some wrench stuff.. and thats about it.. with options to expand. not sure it is big enough to put a light weight jacket in there. comes with a rain cover, and hooks to tie the fold out bags down. The handles on the top kinda get in the way and zippers are a little confusing.. which is the lift for expansion and which to open up the lid. It velcro's pretty good in place and does have enough firmness so it is not flimsy.. happy with it.. but if you want bigger.. then this is not for you.

Needs A Little More Strap Length
This is a great bag in terms of storage space and expandability. I wish it had a little more strap length and velcro coverage for mounting to my rack. I had to do some jury rigging to get it to hold well.

Very well made
This is sized for a narrow "seat-post" rear rack. (My recumbent bikes do not have a seat post.) I ordered it by mistake thinking it was the wider version for a normal width rear rack. I didn't pay close enough attention to the stated dimensions before I placed my order. Apparently, the wider version is no longer available.

great day pack
This rack bag is everything I wanted for a daily pack. It's big enough to fit essentials, but not so big that you can't swing you leg over it (I'm just under 5 ft!) Easy access; the zippers seem sturdy and the option for added storage is a plus. Also, the enclosed rain cover goes over the bag and your seat! Love it.
